VSonic GR07 Bass Edition Impressions
On lendmeurears.com, I tried to pre-order the GR07 BE (150 SGD) and use coupon LMUECUST. However, the coupon didn't work. The error message said "Minimum order total for this coupon is SGD 1.00" Can anyone confirm this? 150 SGD is a fair price, but who doesn't want to save a few bucks right?- pi3guy

Astrotec AX30, AX35 Hybrid IEMs Discussion Thread
Can someone tell me if the AX 35 is comfortable if laying on one's side? For example, does the housing stick out beyond the outer ear? I am looking for some bedtime IEMs. Thanks- pi3guy

Newbie in Head-Fi here. Classical Cans - Less than or equal to $100.
I have owned the AD700s for 4-5 years, and for me, they have been the best audio purchase I have ever made. I haven't experienced other full-sized headphones, but compared to my two IEM purchases: Phonak Audeo PFE (2009) and Head-Direct RE0, the Audio Technica is far ahead. I had build quality...- pi3guy

Audio-Technica IM50, IM70 Discussion Thread
Does the housing protrude from your ears? I listen to music just before sleeping and I want to know if it is comfortable to lay on your side with either IM50 or IM70. Also, does anyone know how these compare to the trusty old AD700? Thanks- pi3guy

<$150 iems with proven build quality+comfortable
@ Na blur Thanks for the reply. Any particular reason you recommend the Brainwavz? I am leaning towards the RHA MA750 right now. They are newer than I'd prefer but that 3 year warranty sounds excellent. Probably more bass than I'm used to. Does anyone know if they are manufactured...- pi3guy

<$150 iems with proven build quality+comfortable
Hi guys, Back in 2009/10, I got caught up in the flavor-of-the-month type IEMs and was burned by the poor build quality/ quality control of the early Phonak PFE and the Head-direct RE0. So, I am looking for an IEM under $150 usd that has been available for at least 2 years with a great...- pi3guy

So what IEM's will sound something like ATH-AD900's ?
I own the re-0 and the ad700s. The main draw for me in the ad700s is the wide soundstage and the feeling of music coming from all directions. The re-0s, being iems, can't pull this off and all instruments sound like they are more squished together. This is more noticeable in orchestral pieces or...- pi3guy

recommend me some 150-200 gift iems
thanks for the responses guys. Yes I have read all of joker's reviews. No love for the westones? checked out the radius, look a little too gaudy for the giftee's taste. I think something a little more subdued would be better, which is a reason I'm not really considering the gold turbine pros...- pi3guy

Could anybody explain to me how normal people can tolerate discount earbuds?
I think as audiophiles or just people who appreciate good headphones, we should avoid being snobs and just let some things slide. For example, my roommate recently bought a pair of bose over-ear headphones, and while I died a little inside, I didn't go up to him and tell him his headphones...- pi3guy

phonak audeo pfes are another great choice, although I haven't heard the re0. Make sure you get the v1 revised model; supposedly they have improved cable quality. maybe you can chat with dfkt. He is from Vienna I think and has heard both. dfkt's reviews are on anythingbutipod under headphone...- pi3guy

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
thanks joker, that's just the analysis I was looking for. From your overall reviews, sounds like you really enjoy an expansive soundstage. wondering if you've ever tried audio-technica's ad line. I have the ad700s and it seems very similar to the ck10. i'll bet it has and even larger soundstage...- pi3guy

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
hey joker, I was wondering about the sound sig differences between the pfe (grey) and ck10s. I'm debating between repurchasing pfes or moving up to ck10s. Are the ck10s more or less forward in the treble and mids than the pfes? Also, which has more bass quantity? Finally, is there a significant...- pi3guy

Question about iem and headphones
Iems depend on sealing the ear from the outer world so I believe they will always sound different than open fullsize cans. But semisight is right, there are many other determining factors such as portability, budget, isolation, comfort, etc. Many of the 250 usd and up fullsize headphones are...- pi3guy

Phonak Audeo (PFE) Thread
I am a former pfe owner (v0) and the sansa fuze is fine for pfe, but you may need to turn vol to 70-80% if you like loud music. Also, I found the pfe to be quite listenable even on 128kb/s, although higher is better. Personally, I find the recording quality on many tracks to be more important...- pi3guy
