The Darkvoice amps seem to have the best reputation for K340s I've seen - I still want to get one when I have the money to spare, I think my PPX3 just doesn't have enough power to drive them.

100% should be 0db, which is what you want. There might be some drivers that go above 0db at 100% though? I'm not sure.

You can use the RCA outputs of the xbox to plug into an amp. It won't sound amazing of course, but it will work.

Not that I know of, and the only good (and almost only if you need expresscard) sound cards I know of for them are the Echo cards. I decided to get a USB DAC instead, a bit of a hassle for some I guess, but there's plenty of storage in my laptop bag.

Got it cheap as I wanted something half decent for my laptop, much better than I expected though. And it doesn't seem to be very quiet like reviews say, full volume is too loud, tried Darth Beyers and Sennheiser PX200s so far.
