FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread

Interesting. Perhaps I am lucky then in the sense that the stock tips seem to fit and sound the best for me... Then again I have limited amount of tips on me.

For sure. The first thing I noticed today - the corners are rounded and are significantly more comfortable. The cable is also less springy than I remember, although I've been using the silver cable for my 8S so I don't actually remember what the stock 8S cable is like.

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread

I'll be doing a review. They're currently burning in on my office table.. If someone has good ideas for a quick cheap measuring rig (I think I have the Dayton IMM6 on hand) I'd also be glad to take some measurements.

    Massdrop PLUS Universal IEM

This looks like an interesting universal with overwhelmingly positive feedback - too bad I currently don't have the funds to buy/test! These and the FLC8N seem to be the most promising $300-ish IEMs recently and since I swear by the FLC8S I'd definitely love to test them out. If someone would be...

Oh god, I've been so out of the audiophile scene that I didn't even realize flc8n was on the way... I've been rocking the 8s since 2 years ago and probably will be checking the flc8n out.

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

Can anyone tell me about the creatology mod (presumably from DMS3TV)? I've looked high and low but there's nothing on it... My M1060s aren't with me at the moment but I plan on modding them the moment I get to my headphones.

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

With the new layout of HF I suggest someone try to compile a master list of resources on how to paper towel mod these, because I can't seem to figure out how to search and find the posts I saw before any more...

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

Just received my rev 2 M1060 - must say that the 2.5mm feels a lot more solid than the MMCX connection... However I live in a very dry environment - would anyone recommend applying some finish to the wood to help with the cracking?

Fifth day, wooden ring cracked  Not sure if it was a coincidence but my dorm room humidifier was off for the night, and it cracked the next morning.    Probably won't return - I like the sound of these a lot - should I return right before the second batch comes in?

Kinda saw that coming  (knocks on wood again)    Maybe it's because this is my first time coming from planars, but the bass response is amazing. I listen to a lot of organ music and the sub-bass just feels a lot more present than on my HD600 and HD650s. I'll probably give the three a...

I agree. I just received mine today and am loving them so far. Hopefully mine doesn't develop any issues (knocks on wood) but if so I'll do the same.

Oh no I'm just doing it for aesthetic purposes - I'll probably listen to the headphones before applying then.

Any tips on applying the coating? I have a bottle ordered and my M1060 are arriving Tuesday, so I want to apply the coating ASAP.

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

Pad rolling = changing distance between your ears = change in bass quantity and soundstage. It makes a huge difference sometimes.      Seriously though. I get the comparison to HD800 and high-end headphones because they're supposed to be "giant-killers," but wouldn't comparing...
