    Tiny DAC, Big Sound, Evolved – Stoner Acoustics UD100 / UD110 / UD120

Couldn't find it elsewhere, but what is the usual response time after inquiring about purchasing the ud110? I sent an email to Stoneracoustics@gmail.com a little over a week ago with no response. I am way too anxious to get one after reading through the thread!

Ultrasone HFI 580 vs. Audio Technica Pro700mk2

Greetings!   From my personal experience the 580 would be a great place to start. I wish I could say I've heard the pro700mk2, but from what I've seen it's main trait is the bass, where as the 580 is a bit more well rounded.   Not sure if this helps... haha. Either way I'm sure you can't...

Best price/quality amp for Grado SR80i

Greetings! Congrats on the purchase!   In my personal opinion it doesn't take much to make the sr80i shine!   However, a fairly nicely recepted portable amp that is a bit... versatile would be a cmoy BB from JDSLabs.   As an amp, I think it does a nifty job for its price point, there...

DigiZoid ZO a good option for me?

Quote: Haha, I'm totally the "Jose" that replied! I absolutely love their device, its so "unique", truly something you've got to hear to believe. I've used it with ahd2000s, Ultrasone Pro 900s, HFI-580s, Klipsch Image s4s, Koss PortaPros, Grado SR80is, and I can't recommend it enough if...

Got the D2000's.. upon further inspection I figured out why I don't like them..

To the original post, if you want bowel spilling, ear splitting bass, go with the pro 900s from Ultrasone. Or, maybe return the e10 and go for a digiZoid zo2.  It'll make the d2000s rumble in your hand. Truly something you've got to hear to believe.   Also, as someone who has owned all...

    About to Purchase Denon AHD2000's

You don't necessarily need a portable amp for these headphones, and the e10 will do you justice on a computer.

d2000 will most definitely leak sound.

    About to Purchase Denon AHD2000's

Oh the volume is plenty fine, i've just personally noticed a slightly more taught bass response and slightly more pronounced mids with high gain on. Sounds crazy but its what I've noticed. I suppose the extra current helps the dampening of the relatively large driver.

    About to Purchase Denon AHD2000's

If you'll be using your computer with the d2000, get yourself an e10 (~80usd), enable high gain, and enjoy! They will do rock very well, and they will be very comfortable the entire time.

    Ultrasone Pro 900 + E11. Alternatives?

If the sibilance is too much, and you don't mind having even less bass, then you wouldn't go wrong going the d2000 route.

About to pull the plug on HFI 580

All I have experience with personally is the Fiio e7, and as previously mentioned, many comparisons have been made before between the two acting as a pure amp, with usually the e11 coming out on top by being a "better" amp (able to drive headphones easier/better). The shining point, as also...

About to pull the plug on HFI 580

Quote: Tricky question. The puritan in me would suggest yes they would make them better. The everyday dude in me would tell you that you are probably going to drop more money into them expecting life changing results and then ultimately becoming displeased with your purchase due to...

Just got my D2000's.. extremely unimpressed, what should I do now?

Quote:   Dang, it almost is as if you are all arguing now on this topic, I thought this was a friendly place? To the original post, I think a simple summary is necessary for a simple issue you're having, although it must be noted that it can be a complicated hobby... Initially...
