hey there, i have a d1001k myself, and was thinking about recabling and dynamatting what did each of those specifically do to help the sound? i'm not sure if i want to spend time/money on something that might only help a little, thanks in advance

read up on the denon d1001 (if you're not already overwhelmed) it's got great bass response and amazing comfort fwir and doesn't really need an amp plus it's only $80 if you're patient

well.....maybe i've been gypped. I got the d1001 last monday, they said it shipped out on tuesday. We live within 30 miles of each other, and yet, it's still not here. They haven't responded to any of my emails either nor did they give me a tracking number. *sigh* If it's not here by tomorrow...

well, i bit on the deal at amazon blutronic is selling d1001k for $85ish and the d2000 for $220ish i got the d1001, 97% seems reliable enough for me also, there's a d2000 listed as "refurbished" on amazon going for $180. i e-mailed the seller, he said it ISN'T refurbished, merely a returned...

what ^^^^^ said i've tried the HD-25 IIs, they're not all that comfortable, but I have a big head and big ears. Otherwise though, I think it's just what you're looking for. Strong bass and portability.
