    pc speakers upgrade

Red is right for me, and I believe that is the standard for most cables. If you are using Windows, the speaker test in the sound control panel can confirm that for you.

Get rid of forum-breaking user-agent sniffing

It seems the issue wasn't with user-agent sniffing, but rather related to navigator.product:     Though it isn't a problem for this particular browser, the other fallback editor is still broken and could cause problems for browsers that do not use this poor compatibility standard.

Fidelify vs. Spotify - Big Difference In Sound Quality?

Did you disable the Volume Normalization built into the Spotify client? It could account for a quality and/or volume difference.

Get rid of forum-breaking user-agent sniffing

I'm using the 26.0 beta 2, not the current stable version of 25.7. Version 26 adds Goanna to the user-agent string, which has added a whole new can of worms to user agent-sniffing and has required a lot of hard-coded overrides for some websites (especially Google) to get them to work.

Get rid of forum-breaking user-agent sniffing

Pale Moon is a fully featured, modern, standards compliant web browser based off of Firefox. Any properly made website should render and operate without any issues unless the website handles user-agent sniffing very poorly to not know what to do with something it doesn't recognize.   It seems...

Absolute best headphones for around $300??

The V-moda M100 has a lot of bass, and is generally one of the basshead choices for that price range. $250-$300 USD. I liked them when I heard them, but a little too much bass for me despite liking some V-shape. Also not the biggest fan of the design, but I think the plates are customizable.  ...

    Optimal quality: CD > ALAC

I'm sorry its forcing all of my text to run together and be unreadable, not my fault the post is like this. Why is head-fi not putting in line breaks that show up in the editor all of the sudden? 1. For humans, yes. 2. Data on a "Red Book" CD is PCM. WAV is a container that usually holds PCM...

    Different impedance. Benefits?

Higher impedance requires a stronger amp, but it benefits from having a lower noise floor. If you have a noisy signal and can afford / have a good amp then go for high impedance, else go for low.

    Audio for Androids.....and phones, too!

Many prefer USB Audio Player Pro. Both are great and would be the two most recommended, though I use neither.

How Do I Get The Most Accurate Sound From My HP Output?

Loudness equalization hinders "accurate" sound the same way beats audio does. The beats audio probably has much better equalization than Windows does. You wouldn't have to bother with the "When computer starts" part if you want accurate sound. Bypassing beats audio is as simple as using a music...

    Why is Head-fi so slow?

Has the number of advertisements increased? Not only has head-fi been a lot slower than it used to be, but very recently its getting to the point where my browser is freezing completely from too many bad ads (and yes, it is definitively the ads, at least for desktop since I don't use mobile). I...

    Best android music player app?

Apps that sell data about its users to China are a no-go for me. I'd rather it make its money in any other way. Just mentioning this because Hiby hides it.

Fidelify - Spotify with ASIO, WASAPI, and VST plugins support!!!

Pretty sure Spotify requires all unofficial clients to require premium (to make sure people don't bypass ads probably). You could try the web player in a browser which offers exclusive audio and see if that sounds better than the client (don't remember if web player allows 320kbps streaming...

Good Warm IEM's up to $30

I don't use IEM's much, so I settled for some Monoprice 9927's that were on sale for $5 (and were pretty nice for being dirt cheap). Unfortunately, they were destroyed, and maybe getting something better will change my mind about using IEMs and make me eventually get a decent pair. I happen to...
