CPU and HD temps
I bought a cheap laptop for the purpose of staying connected while out and about without having to lug around a 17 incher. It has a T5500 Intel Core2 Duo processor. Temp readings are: CPU Temp: 71-72C at max performance (continous max CPU speed), 63-64C with dynamic switching HD Temp...- oicdn

Initial impressions of Grado GS1000.
Posting this because I was loaned a set of GS1000's. Although I have not yet heard it with a "synergized" amp, I can give an impression thus far. This thread will also be where I post my final thoughts... ------------------------------- I've heard these cans are VERY picky about what they...- oicdn

I lost my cell and I can't remember what his SN here is, nor his phone number. He doesn't post often, but he's here in Jacksonville, Florida. He wanted me to give him a call when some new cans came in, which they did. His first name is Derek and drives a Subaru STi. Anybody able to help? PM...- oicdn

My buddy is an idiot. (relationship)
He's been dating this chick for like 6 years. I dunno the details or her side of the story, but apparently they had not even an argument, but more or less like a facetious "Yeah, I'd rather be single" thing. Well, I guess when he came home from work she moved out. So, apparently he was...- oicdn

GS1K easy to drive?
Is it an easy pair of cans to drive? I have some on the way, and it may be my last saving grace towards completely dismissing dynamic headphones. When I say easy, I mean something like a PPAv2, or RA1. Or possibly even a portable amp, even worse yet, and iPod heaphone jack.- oicdn

Batteries play a bigger role than I thought....
Sitting here listening to my baby Stax and my batteries died. I had picked up some Sony batteries that were on sale at the local gas station for $1 and some change. They're good batteries too, Sony AM3pt's. I can't find the mAh anywhere, but I'm assuming the Sony nature of their...- oicdn

Linksys Router won't hard reset?
I was resetting it because it was set-up as a secure network. My Touch won't work with it secured, so I decided I turn the security features off and disable everything. It still showed up as a secure network when either my laptop or the Touch was looking for networks. Refreshed networks lists...- oicdn

I can do push-ups all day long. I got one of these at Wally World and holy cow does it really work muscles. There's burn on my OUTER chest, as well as soreness in my traps and upper outer shoulder (by outer collarbone) which I don't get soreness when doing JUST push-ups. I substituted...- oicdn

Putting in batteries the wrong way.
A buddy of mine (yes really, not me, seriously) said he took apart a CV3 lithium battery and tried to put it in his device. He said he'd give it a shot, because the digital camera he has, takes AA batteries, but a CV3 works as well (are basically two AA batteries taped together). It didn't work...- oicdn

FOUND: 5.5Gen iPod video
Found this at work today. I saw it fall out of the pocket of maybe a head-fier getting into a car that picked the person up. I say maybe a head-fier because the person was carrying DT990's. You don't see those often in public I know knowing the serial is probably unlikely, but knowing what...- oicdn

NOD32 users
Hmm....curious as to what the hype was, so I DL'd a "trial version". I recently uninstalled Symantec Anti-Virus Corp Ed, and frankly, haven't looked back. I can now see why there are band wagoners for this AV. It's only initially resource heavy (boot-up), but after that, the AMON isn't bad at...- oicdn

iTouch. 32gb is FASTER than 8gb.
I just got in my 32gb Touch, and when transferring songs over, it's faster than that of the 8gb. But, the most notable difference is when transferring video over. It's easily 20% faster. I transferred a 1gb video simultaneously to the 8gb and 32gb and the 32gb was done 6 seconds faster...- oicdn

iTouch WiFi issue.
It detects the network (which is unsecured, no password needed). I click it, it puts a little check mark next to it, shows signal strength. I go to use Safari, and it won't browse. It says "Safari could not connect because it could not find the server.". I go to click on the networks, and...- oicdn
