But also in general the ESS powered phones (9018, 9218 quad...) are said to be among the best sounding mobile solutions.

The better dongles are close but in my opinion still not as good.
But they are on a level where the headphone quality has already a much bigger impact on sound quality. Therefore I think they are totally fine to use.

I just got the DAC a couple of hours ago & I was a little worried @ 1st because the volume seemed kind of low because I was using low impedence headphones. I saw a few pages back on how to trick the DAC to output 2V & then it was all good. 1 anomaly I came across is in Neutron Music Player this won't output 44.1 kHz while it does so in USB Audio Player Pro. I have follow source frequency checked & when I check the sample rates below it, it doesn't list 44100. Starts @ 48000hZ. Has Neutron not fully adopted this DAC?

I just got Zorloo Ztella MQA version. I can hear cracking noise when I hook it up to my phone. Has anybody experienced the same and has firmware upgrade helped?

Does anyone know if this DAC will eventually be fully compatible with Neutron Music Player? It doesn't list all of the available sample rates the DAC is capable of utilizing & it doesn't display the name of the DAC under Audio Hardware like it does for the Audioquest DragonFly.
