You guys should try the Auteur hybrid pads for the VC. Its combines the best of the Auteur Lambskin (soundstage, airy highs) and the Be2 (timbre, vocal clarity, 3d holographic sound) while being extremely comfortable.
Thanks! Just ordered a set. I have a feeling that will be the sweet spot for me. The Be2 are great but I do love the warmth, fullness and soundstage of the Auteurs

Those both look like auteur pads from here - the VC doesn't come with Eikon pads unless you ordered them a-la-carte.

They look like leather auteur pads to me. Makes me want to put mine on again. I think I will. I see your pads and I hear them in my head.

Hi everyone, ok, so I've had these for 4 months now. I'm the worst photographer in the world, and I really didn't want to post crappy photos because they don't do these stunning headphones justice but I finally gave in. Anyways, I absolutely adore these and can't praise them enough.

Other things in the photo that don't look as good as they should, thanks to my crappy photography, the goose stand (by O'neill's creation workshop) and the custom purple type 6 litz cable by Skedra.

Nice! Is that a stabilized VC? Love those purple hued ones. What’s its name?

Thank you! Nope, this was a camphor burl custom. Not sure how I convinced Zach to do it, Jedi mind tricks I guess lol
My Atticus shown in my avatar are also camphor burl with purple stain, ordered last March when Zach was doing more of those custom orders. I love your VC with black chassis and rose gold (?) rods. Thanks for sharing these pics!

Yup, black/rose gold! I ordered mine as yours were finishing up I believe. You were originally going to go with a matching purple chassis right?

I was, yes, but Zach didn't think it looked great and I agreed once I saw pics of it. Mine only look so bright in direct sunlight and are much more like yours on my desk.

Yup! I agree, you made the right move not going with the purple chassis, it was too much :) I love the way yours turned out. And yes, mine are similar to yours in the sunlight, so I suspect they're very similar stains!

Unfortunately we aren't able to do custom orders right now - hopefully one day we will be able to bring back some custom options in a methodical way!

Love those purple burl sets!

So Be2 pads is best when you want more air and brighter tonality?
Becouse even Universe Lambskin are too warm and dark for me, so i think Verite or Be2 pads will be good?

Definitely brighter and more neutral overall than Universe lambskin, so I think they may be a good fit for you.

The Be2 also has slightly less slam compared to the Universe pads but in no way would I call it thin.

And as for airy, they are airy in the sense that they are more delicate and you can hear more separation between instruments. But I also think of airy as having a wide soundstage with room behind it like an open back headphone, which is not the type of airy you get from Be2. More holographic.

All the pads have their perks and I truly rotate them depending on genres or if I am going for a more laid back or analytical listening experience. The Be2 is definitely the most analytical as you just hear all the little details in the songs.
