My VC Ltd have arrived, and I am just listening to them now for the first time on my LTA MZ3. Can I just check, for the A grade sets which shipped with two sets of cables, is the 'better' cable the one with the plastic or braided jacket?

Not the braided. The braided is the basic cable (which actually sounds really good) and other is the OFC upgrade cable.

The link tells you that if you are the kind of person that is bothered by a cosmetic flaw that does not affect the sound quality, then you should not buy a B stock headphone. Unfortunately, I found out that I am the kind of person that is bothered. You cannot judge what is acceptable to you by the variations that others are unable to find or may be willing to accept.

I am up in the air on mine right now. I will learn to accept, or someone will get a deal. I understood the terms when I made my selection and I intend to abide by them, and I WILL be making another purchase from ZMF. This will, however, be my last B stock purchase.

It is my personality issue. The headphone sounds great.

What did you order? If it was an Atrium, I have a perfect condition aged cherry that will be for sale. I bought a rarity Koa set. I don't need 2 Atriums.

FedEx delivered late yesterday afternoon. These are B-stock, but they look beautiful. My Focal Celestees will get listed soon as I need only one closed back. I have had little time to listen but what I have heard sounds fantastic. I am waiting on a cable and may add a pilot pad.

He once mentioned that they are focusing on delivering all November headphones until new year.

Hence I hope for a release in 1-2 weeks at the latest.

Just wanna say thanks for the support from Zach and all of you! This has been a sad roller coaster that immediately changed course; I couldn't be happier. I'll be sure to post the results! Who knows, maybe I'll buy a second ZMF at the next drop!

P.S. Burn in is a thing. Mine have about 30 hrs on them now and sound so much better than fresh out of the box!

What a cool and very unique looking pair! I love how the brass rods match the gold hues in the resin. Congrats and nice pic too!

My second ZMF November purchase came today, the Caldera in Kingwood. Just a few hours on them so far but reminding me a bit of expanse and LCD-5. Looking forward to more listening with them.
