Yanyin Discussion thread

There are headphones in the collection Fiio FH7, Cowon X30, NG12, Shuoer S12, Noble Khan, QDC Anole VX and UM MEST MKII . I have never looked at the price category of headphones, since it does not solve anything at all. The main thing is how the headphones are configured. Poorly tuned headphones can get caught both expensive and excellent among inexpensive ones. I really hope that Yanyin Canon will take a worthy place in my small collection. :)

That is quite the collection you got there! I am curious to hear how the Canon stacks up against the others and whether you'll add it to the keep pile :)

Any way to translate it to the common 60dB base graph? That treble drop at 15k looks quite bad for my tastes
I can't even hear that high of a frequency. I have rusted brass ears.

I am surprised to see so little upper treble with an EST implementation.

Well, I can hear up to around 19,5kHz... this makes me really picky about my IEMs :p

My thoughts exactly, compared to Moondrop Variations or ThieAudio tribrids, this is quite a large treble drop.

Well we won't have a true apples-to-apples until someone graphs them on the same rig, especially at those frequencies. And it's quite possible that the graph shared is simply wrong at those frequencies, any measurement rig is not totally reliable up there.

are you part bat? honestly though, that's insane! did you do one of those sine wave freq tests? I think i didn't hear above 17.5kHz or smtg
