Thank you!! So there are two vents? Which one was the one that made bass less boomy? Have you tried covering the other vent by Itself? Thank you

Sure.
Right now I covered up vents opposite "L" and "R" markings, not the one beside them. Havent tried the other way. I used adhesive clay ("blu-tack"). That nook where the vents are seems too tight for tape, might not get a good seal

I advised a member, a few months back, to buy a EPH-100 from a seller named Eardio. At the time I was pretty sure that what they sold me was the real deal, NOT. Amazon recently had the 100s at a decent price so I decided to get a BACKUP pair. They arrived today and the difference is astounding. Build (cable, eartips, case, etc) is day and night. And of course the sound. Now I truly understand all the positive reviews. I got burned and it's really too late to do anything about it now. As many others have already found out, beware of Eardio.

I wouldn't trust the seller's story without comparing with originals. However, it is a possibility that in some plants in China, same machines that are used to produce the original products are being used later to produce "unofficials" that are mass produced and pacaged to third party that packages (since the packaging people are not in the same "initiative"). I looked at the Russian article and from the pictures it was not completely clear to me that there is a difference between the original and fake one, except for packaging.

Guys, what are good tips to use with these?

Stock tips are the only ones I used on mine. Not many other tips will fit because of the nozzle.

Bit of a shame, would like to have options. JVC FXD tips fit apparently bit I can't find those either

Hauwei Honor tips work with these. Would give them a different sound as well due to the wide bore. Just a thought.

PS. I don't have an original EPH-100, just a replica. The Honor tips work well with them, as well as the JVC FRD60, FXH30, and KZ Micro Ring. All these are tip mounted 5.8-6mm Micro driver earphones.
