WORST headphone you ever heard?

Skullcandy Skullcrushers anyone? They've got those "Tactile Transducers" instead of any real audio under 100 hz; It is really just the same as what makes your playstation controller rumble. Barf.

Bose In Ears (the first one).
They were my first earphones and even without any experience in this area I thought they were terrible.
Very muddy and overpowering bass. Poor isolation, even my iPod buds had better isolation and that's saying something.

Hrm, the worst headphones I've heard from the land of stuff that "doesn't suck" - Ultrasone HFI-2400. If they needed a celebrity endorsement, I'd attach Thomas Kay to them (okay so to explain this needlessly complicated joke: they're wooly and muddy like no other).

From the land of stuff that we assume to suck, I'm not as disappointed; if you spend $20 you should expect to get garbage.

I haven't heard most of the popular skullcandies, so I can't comment on those.  I can say that the most offensive set of cans I've heard within the past 4 years have been the Ultrasone Edition 10s

Some strange Samsung earphones. Aside from the fit being absolutely horrid, it's just muddy bass. Reminds me vaguely of the S4 without the sibilance and too much mids. It literally drowns you in mids and bass.

If cheap junk counts I bought these 5$ earbuds from futureshop and couldn't tell one song from the next through them.
An expensive, ****ty headphone (in this case earbud) was the skullcandy Holua IEM. MSRP of 100, I got lucky and the item was tagged wrong for 30$. I thought, awesome, these look great and have a wood casing. Worst purchase ever. They were so bad I wouldn't have payed more than 10$ for them had I known the sound. (this was even before I became an audiophile, and I could still tell how **** they were)

The worst real headphones I ever heard were my 1970 something vintage Pioneer SE-305 Stereo Headphones--or some lesser model that looked a great deal like them.  They were simply and completely bad--total trash in comparison to my Koss Pro 4AA's.

The only pair that I can recall since I have gotten into this hobby, is the Sony MDR-XD100. Gave them to a friend and he promptly trashed them, went to the dollar store and got some cheap buds.

the worst sound i have ever heard has to come from those airplane earbuds, they are absolutely terrible. the hissing sound and white noise are louder than the music lol and there is the crackling noise. and then the ones that come with radios, and then the ipod earbuds. no bass, no treble, no soundstage, no imaging, no detail, no clarity, you name it, they dont have it lol

Quote:
Sure they're harsh through the upper mids and treble area ~ but worst ever headphone?

 Really?

Yes, they are over $2000 in some areas and perform worse than the beats.
