There's a reason why people don't like the audiophile community. It's because they view audiophiles as elitists, looking down upon them condescendingly, shunning them for their being "tone-deaf" and hating on the artists they like to listen to. It's posts like these -- and people like you -- that embody the reason why non-audiophiles don't like us.

Audiophiles simply try to enjoy music to the best extent.  And doing that means realizing and removing whatever is cheap so you only get pure soulful music.  The reason audiophiles put up threads like this is because they get annoyed whenever someone else says "Beats are the best" or "I can't hear the difference" or "Beats sound better, they have more bass".  Audiophiles don't value themselves for being elite.  It's just that when you become an audiophile, you need to accept that you aren't like your friends and they will never understand the enjoyment you receive.

Couldn't agree more with you +1

I was like so before 2012 "naaahhh I bet i cannot hear a difference between MP3 @192kbps and FLAC", "you're crazy with that huge files" until i decided tomake the proper test even with cheapi sony Buds i could tell the difference between a CD and mp3

Is since thren i switched to lossless and decided to prsue better quality, switched from $20 fontopias EX line to a fancier XBA-1 then $300 XBA-H3 and now $400 XBA-A3 IEMs they have bass that hits hard and deep But IS QUALITY AND QUANITYT

Same did with my iPod classic to a fiio x3, then a sony NWZ-A17 at 300 usd and now a NW-ZX100 at $700, quality is beaituful and has a price, i dont earn $1000 USD  a month but i've saved and being smart chosing qulity vs populairty

Strange. I thought the core topic of this thread, "Why the Beats Hate?" is to question why audiophiles hate the brand so much. I mean, those reasons you put up answer the question of this thread effectively, but each audiophile here has their reasons.

Audiophiles don't value themselves for being elite.

Really? It seems @gerelmx1986 seems to enjoy sitting high amongst his lofty classical recordings, boasting about how they're the master race of music. (Speaking of which, @gerelmx1986, regarding the "music conservatorium" thing, I never said Daft Punk was better than Tchaikovsky (and I'm pretty sure you never mentioned that either until you got triggered), I only said that they had more soul than the Beatles (which you did mention).)

It's just that when you become an audiophile, you need to accept that you aren't like your friends and they will never understand the enjoyment you receive.

Strangely, my friends do understand the enjoyment I receive, so your point is moot as the situations are apparently different for each of us.

Now beats are made by yoyu know which company as it bought beats a while ago.... the company with the apple bit off on a side......

ido agree with @Jackson 6 rap/reggaethon/hi-hop are so dead genres nothing worth. I can bear beatles/doors etc BECUASE THEY WERE CONSERVATORIUM TRAINED MUSICIANS... what does Bieber, britney, eminem do??? di he went ot a music conservatorium? ummm Nooooo they just pre mix, and make rabdom stuff and they call them selves prodigies/artists LOL

Most electronic music is layed on speakers and then recorded LOL, there is no real-life instrument there which produces a different sound and has its own spirit.

Beats were made for today's generation of spotify/lossy mp3/AAC, not worth to play a flac file on beats as it will uncover flaws and missed details toe ach one it's own
just my 2 cents

You know that the Beatles were regarded as more or less the Bieber of their day, right? The parents of the people who listened to them disregarded it with distaste, thus continuing the trend of the old hating the new. The amount of pretentiousness amazes me.

Yes I know, my dad told me so, he's a huge fan of them... but i'm talking more a trained vs out-of-no-where musicians, the talent IMHO has nothing to do with produce beautiful music or not, I do know there is awful classical music too

So much for the 'conservatorium trained musician' then......

Your dislike of Eminem has nothing to do with his ability to rap: it has nothing to do with his talent. You simply don't like him because you don't like his genre of music. As the wise ones said, 'don't hate the player, hate the game.'

You know that the Beatles were regarded as generic music near and til the middle, right? They were in no way the most innovative, they were more or less the Bieber of their day. The amount of pretentiousness amazes me.

Beatles = Beiber? Please God tell me you're jesting.

That's like saying the HD414 was the Beats of the day. A classic of better times vs a typical piece of modern talentless excretia

I think people should be able to listen to whatever they want, with whatever headphones they want, without being judged by others.

:duggfloat:

I'm sorry to inform you but you are incorrect. People should be made to predominantly listen to English Progressive Rock recorded between the years 1969-1975 on a pair of Beyer DT150s or even better 70s Koss.;-)
