The AD700's from AT are so light and comfortable. But of course I would bring up an AT product...

The HD650 clean and after unbending the headband is very nice.

Ultrasones are generally too tight and clampy.

Denon pleather and all pleather in general sticky and itchy after a little bit of sweat.

Beyer velor pads one of the best in my opinion.

The K701 is also nice, but cotton still itches after a little.

For supra-aural headphones, On-Ear are hands down the most comfortable. I even tried to justify keeping them because of how comfortable they were.

I found the circumaural headphones from bose (ae1, ae2, qc15) to be exceptionally comfortable. But then again i don't have high standards. I find grados and my shure srh840 to be really comfortable.

I know the AKG 701/702 and the Sennheiser HD 800, HD 650, HD 600, HD 598 are suppose to be very comfortable, but is there a stand out? I would suggest the AKG 701 as a stand out, but they are the only expensive headphones I've used. What is/are the most comfortable pair of headphones you have ever worn?

I had AKG 702 and HD 650, and now have HD 800 among the phones you mentioned.  They are all comfortable, but HD 800 is most comfortable to me. It is personal matter,  though.  They say HD 650 is comfortable, and it is.  But I didn't like the tight pressure.  You may feel differently.  My advice is, try them yourself before you make final decisions.

Among the phones I have

1. Denon AH-D1100
2. Denon AH-D7000
3. Sennheiser HD 800

Of course, this order is for me.  HD 800 is light and comfortable, but the ear cubs are too big around my ears.

The Sony XB line IMO. It felt like having your head clamped by air pillows.
