For a reason...
I know of no other dynamic headphone which are designed to be driven from the taps of a speaker amplifier.

Suggest me one and I may look into it.

Lambda pros sound so good in my system, no recessed midrange at all. With my old source the mid-range was recessed and low frequencies lacked detail. Bass has improved greatly also, with different source.
I will try the 404 again this weekend and see how they sound. I'm very curious as to how they are going to sound.
I wonder what I'll say about the lambda pro midrange once I hear the 404... but really it sounds perfect at the moment.

dt-770's coming when I feel the need to spend some money. Maybe by end of Q1 next year.
