Going to the National Gallery was a transformative experience for me. I bought a print from there that is one of my most treasured possessions.


In terms of the real topic of this thead (coffee), I was just in Kaui Hawaii and did a self tour of one the coffee plantations there. 4M trees! Almost enough for a week of brew

I didn't love any of the samples from the plantation but I could really taste the freshness of the roast everywhere I went in Hawaii.

Not real big on Hawaiian coffee myself. It's just ok I guess.

Yes, I have tried 100% Kona and still did not like it. Was medium roast I think.

A local used bookstore now also carries a few CDs (and vinyl). I used to have this in the original vinyl, but had lost track of it. Found the original CD remaster, listening to it now. I had forgotten how much liked it.

Looks cool but the video was too superficial to draw any conclusions from. And they had no expert testimonials on the quality of their prototype.

Back to sf on Monday. I’ve enjoyed London tremendously. I still think SF coffee is better than every European city except perhaps Berlin, which it clearly equals.
