I heard they won't release it. I have not heard you cannot measure a custom. Why is that? And why can you measure a universal and not a custom?

i suppose technically you could, but youd have to get the molds made to fit the dummy head, which means no one could use them.

at least that's my understanding - i could be wrong

Customs can be measured as long as their tips fit your testing equipment. Most microphone coupler test jigs are sized to fit conventional IEM tips, Westone obviously use custom ones. I thought about shipping my set to NwAvGuy for testing but since we couldn't be sure if they'd actually fit his testing gear I decided not to. Also tried asking Westone, no go.

Leckerton UHA6S (w/ OPA209's) for price, package and performance.  Heard Nick might have some new stuff up his sleeve.

Here's how I store my ES5 in a Pelican 1010 case.

Finally I can see these pics. Very nice.

FYI the clear 1010 is beautiful but if you get an opaque colour (for example, I have the solid yellow), the lid is padded.

(Actually the ES5 comes in an opaque black Pelican 1040 which has the padded lid...)

Hi Tronz,

On THIS post the ES5 from the user "iRadiO"  is the same as your ES5, and they use the same serial number "ES50104". Why?

Yes, the case is very attractive, but I wish it was completely padded like the Westone Monitor Vault.
