Wow, that's cool :)
Is there any reason why you ordered three times for the same type ?

If the $57 cable sounds better than the stock, I wonder how great is this $300 + cable :-o

Only because I had x3 different earphones, at different time and sold them with the cables included. no durability issues.
The TF10 version did cause some fit problems, but not with the Westone version.
Yes, that $300 silver cable is very close to what Tralucent used to sell with 1Plus2 before they revised their cables.

What does the Fiio X3 do to the W4?  I use the Ibasso T3 analog.  I get a little more clarity and juice but it's not earth shattering or anything.  EQ tendencies are the same/uneffected which I suppose is what you want an amp to perform like.

I love the fiio x3 paired with my w4r.

any budget cables to recommend for w4r? i feel that its kinda lack of bass.

Btw is hybrid cables good?

I wouldn't resort to cables just to increase your bass. The audible differences are arguable as it is. Change your source or do hardware-based EQ if you can.

I find that the black foam tips that come with them gives me a little more bass.. But Ya a different source or a little bump in the eq would work.. Also after listening to them for a bit and letting your brain adjust will help hear the bass more.. Just opinion..

A new cable won't change the sound, doesn't matter if you spend 20, 50 or 400 dollars (a common measure of sound quality around here, LOL).

W4R is not exactly bass heavy, but maybe you are not reaching a good enough seal. Try a bigger tip, or a Shure Olive tip. EQ settings also may help!

Save your cable money for buying albums or for a future headphone upgrade.

HAHA yeah shure is mid forward with the exception of their 846 where they took a crack at bass, otherwise mids are all shure is really know for imo.

Well said. Agree 100%.

I just got a pair of 4R's and I'm really not liking it.  The treble spike around 7-10k sounds really piercing to my ears.  I've tried the star tips, true fit, and shure olives and it doesn't help.  Maybe the 4R isn't for me?
