no its whatever way you want as long as it fits the magic 8 rule. my kann 2.5mm balanced i need resistors as its too high. the kanns 3.5mm trs is fine though.

on a different issue i sent my pair back on july 29th and usps has been screwin me over as they still haven't left the usa in almost 2 months. anyone else have shipping issues?

they just sound better to some folks balanced. yes i try to do everything thru balanced if i can.

lmao nothing has to be balanced as that is a quote "personal" opinion. most balanced players have higher output so they don't fit the magic 8. but if you add resistors it will bring it up. keeping in mind verum is claimed from 7.4-8.0ohm basically making anything over 1 questionable. i did use with kann balanced and didn't seem to have any issue. but i had to send them back within a couple days of receiving. Garuspik has been awesome!!!!!

PHONES 3.5mm (0.65ohm) / Balanced out 2.5mm (1.3ohm)
the trs is well under and the trrs balanced is over the magic 8.

So does the DAC have to be modded to be used with the Verum?

no just add resistors inline to cable positive leads. value dependent on players output and what level you want. it doesn't need much seeing on kann i'd need to match at min 10.4ohms. so approx 1.5ohm each pos lead.
this is how it was explained to me so it i misquoted i apologize.

Or like this ... in 34 ohm. The headphones plug into this jack and then the jack plugs into the DAC output ... correct? Like I said ... I'm new to this concept
