Just saw M200 announced. Might pick up a pair to see how they sound. Didn’t they just release the m100 master? Sounds like the same thing except with a balanced cable in the box.

Yeah, that does seem a little strange. The M100 Master just hit the market, and now here comes the M200. It's being advertised as having a "reference" tuning, so I assume that they will be more neutral sounding.

The M200 comes with a "single-sided balanced cable". I'm a little confused about how that can be considered balanced, when both channels are converging at the connector of a single earcup. Perhaps someone more versed in these topics can educate me.

Long time, no see...original M-100'ers. I've been enjoying my new Matte Black pair that I got in early August this year (being used as my main pair), and thus far, the pleather headband has been holding up great and hasn't started peeling yet. This new Matte Black pair hasn't turned out to be a lemon, so that's good!

Tomorrow night, I'll be doing my quarterly "swap out" of my main pair of M-100s and main Cayin C5 portable amp in my dual-listening setup -- in which I'll start using the new Shadow Black pair (also obtained in August) as my main pair for the next 3 months, along with the other Cayin C5 amp. Looking forward to it.

Ha ha........yep. I just posted some quick thoughts about it on the new topic thread for it awhile ago. Needless to say, I have no interest whatsoever in these new M-200s.

The release of this new model makes me even-more glad that I stocked up on two additional pair of original M-100s three months ago while I still could! Hooray for that. :beerchug:

LONG LIVE THE ORIGINAL M-100!

V-Moda quietly changed their Immortal Life Program. Now they only offer 20% of the headphone value. They conveniently waited to add the M100 Master and M200 to the step up until changing their policy. So now upgrading from M100s will only give you $50 off (vs. $125 off previously). On social media, they're saying that people who bought V-Moda headphones before November 12th, 2019 would still receive the original 50%. However, their website provides no way of distinguishing between older products and newer ones. And they are now requiring proof of purchase from V-Moda.com or an authorized retailer which they did not before.

I'm looking for a replacement cable without a mic. Can anyone tell me if this cable will work with the M100 please?
