Excellent choices. I'm waiting for my FC6 to arrive. I suppose RU7 with LO option allows you to play with amp synergies

A thin line between collection and hoarding, particularly since new dongles are released almost on a weekly basis

Listening to Emil Brandqvist Trio (Everflowing): iPhone 15 Pro -> Fiio KA11 -> Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X

A very pleasant Saturday morning indeed :)

Hello does it worth if can buy mojo 1 for 160 dollars or a dongle at this price range is better? Such as DC04 PRO or M1P that I was looking at as a budget and good option.

I care only for audio quality for Headphones such as HD600 and K701 and also mostly used with laptop.

Any suggestion would be really helpful!

Thanks for all

Lol, it's like you're directing this question right at me 😂
Imho, Mojo already kills the DC04Pro in terms of sound. And that's was with iems and earbuds in my test, so using headphone, the mojo would definitely beat the DC04 Pro

Since you are mainly going with the PC as a source, having a modern dongle is not as big a consideration. Modern dongles are better and handling the intricacies of phones. The other consideration is whether having balanced outputs is needed.

I haven't heard a Mojo 1 in a while, but they do sound nice. But modern dongles can be surprisingly good. I have a top end unit and am very happy.

Also fwiw, the Mojo edges out the RU7 in terms of sound and driving power too. RU7 is more neutral and Mojo is more colored. You can read my review of the RU7

How many amps does a power hungry dongle need ?
It's typically a 5 volt USB connection but should it be a rated at 1.5, 2 or 3 amps ? What do they actually need?
The really power hungry ones like my Cayin RU7 or my Fiio KA17 (in their most demanding settings like the desk mode without external supply) draw around 280mA continuous current when playing if provided by a powered hub or PC. Older models like the e1da PowerDAC v2 or the Centrance DACport HD draw even more but those are a bit exotic. Peak power demand might be higher but still not more than the 1.5A quoted above.

Aune Yuki owners:

Is it a super good dongle like a standout in your collection? Is it very different from the DC04 Pro?

I love the DCO4 Pro.

Andy reviewed the Yuki and gave it a 39/40 in sound . That makes it absolutely top drawer up there with the FC-6 the DAC port and the DC-elite... But, it seems like I'm not hearing that much about it...

For those of you who have both do you see any reason to get this dongle if you have a DC04 Pro? Are they different enough?

I would save up some money and go straight to DC-Elite as soon as possible. It's just something different compared to all the other dongles in my opinion. And with the new accessory (CB19) iBasso has achieved what you have been looking for, for some time, a true separation between data and power.

Thank you for the advice. I ordered that Ibasso cable. It can't arrive soon enough.

To follow up... How is the DC elite different? Do you mean it's just a different league like a mojo 2 or its sound is so different in its character ? Somehow I'm thinking it's very very clean and maybe analytical or dry ?
