Good morning together from Germany!

I'm currently using a ibasso dc01 with my Huawei P30pro. I'm impressed in the sound quality. My Ibasso it03 is working well with dc01.

The soundstage is very wide and the sound is clear, crisp with a wide soundstage. The bass is punchy and dry. Well, I'm not an professional but I'm still looking for the best sound. So far, this combo satisfied me till now.

I'm using the USB Audio Player Pro with it.

I have to say, that i ordered a E1DA 9038s and i can't wait to test it. Much people writing only good things about it.

Hey i got a P30 pro as well. Would you recommend the Ibasso DC01?

Hi Guys

I^m searching some advice regarding a DAC. i have to admit that i'm pretty new regarding DAC's because i never needed one. Now with my new Huawei P30 Pro i have no 3.5mm Jack Port. I treid with Bluetooth Headphones but the Music was not loud enough so i gave em back. I'm planning in using some 3.5mm Jack wired Headphones and probably need a DAC to get loud and Clear Music to my Ears.

Any advice

Thanks allot in advance

I recommend the Meizu Pro for $40, which is plenty loud. Seriously, everything above 10% hurts my ears with my AKG K712 headphones.
If you want the best possible sound quality and don't mind waiting a bit, get the 9038D once it's released. It used the 3rd best DAC chip on the market right now and the 2.5mm version of it, the 9038S, sounds simply incredible and noticeably better than the Meizu.
Be prepared however to shell out about $90 for it, but even so, the 9038S/D offers mind-blowing value as it rivals $500 DAPs and full-size desktop setups.

If one has a big budget and doesn't want to wait, there is the Spectra X and the YinLuMei S2 (if you are willing to go through the hurdles of taobao).

Another thumbs up for the Meizu Pro. Paid $37 on aliexpress. Pixel 2XL > UAPP > Toneboosters Parametric EQ > Harman Target > Qobuz > Meizu Hifi Pro > Etymotic ER2SE. Sounds comparable to my desktop PC > APO/Peace > Harman Target > Qobuz > FiiO K5 Pro > Sennheiser HD6XX setup.

I hope the durability of the dongle holds up but at that price it's easier to buy replacements. Quality personal audio has become more affordable since my Sennheiser HD580/IE7 era a decade ago.

Hi

Thanks for the answer. I read about the 9038s on another Thread in here and it was written that the battery usage is pretty high. That's the only reason i did not really thought about it even all peoples write it has to be amazing. I need the setup to go to work on the train and to listen to music while working. That's it. So a DAC using lots of Power is not the best Solution in my Case i thought.

So it seems for you, if you consider battery.

Meizu Pro for budget, but very very good.

NextDrive Spectra X premium but costs more.

Here's the power consumption of the 9038S, Meizu Pro, and Hidizs S8:
