Does anyone have experience on using Android UAPP with a charging/data splitter? I have multiple USB C splitters and powered USB C hubs. All of them allow my USB C iPad to charge and output USB Audio (to a battery-less "dongle DAC") simultaneously. But none of them work on my Android DAPs (Sony NW-A306 and Hiby M300) even with UAPP. Charging will take priority over USB Audio.
Does anyone have success with charging and USB Audio simultaneously on an Android DAP?
I use the iBasso CB19 splitter so that I can charge my dongles (mainly the RU7 and RU6) from an ANKER power bank. UAPP works perfectly well with this set up. I've never had any issues.

Is this an Android phone vs Android DAP issue? I do not have an Android phone so I’m not sure. Do you happen to have an Android DAP to try these splitters on? Thanks.

I think it's a matter of how you make the connections.
You should have the DAC in the splitter, as well as the charger in the splitter, and then connect the splitter to the device (smartphone/DAP).
I have a splitter, and it works with the Sony ZX707 DAP, as well as with a Samsung S23. There shouldn't be any difference between a smartphone and a DAP anyway, a DAP is a kind of a lower end smartphone, but with high performing audio parts.

I tried connecting them to the A306 in every order possible, no luck. Good to hear that the ZX707 works.
USB ports' output current is definitely a thing. I have DAPs that wouldn't work with a battery-less dongle-DAC even without a splitter (FiiO M5). That there is no way of knowing these specs is the problem.
It shouldn't matter, as you power the thing via the splitter.
(Very annoying to have to manually) edit:
I just tested it again with the ZX707, and also with a Sony NW-A55, and it works. I see no reason why it would not work with the A306, except user error or bad splitter.
I'm first connecting the DAC to the splitter, then the power supply to the splitter, then the splitter to the DAP. Make sure you are connecting everything where it should go.
On the A55 I had to use the WMC-NWH10 adapter in order to be able to connect the splitter to it (with a USB-C to USB-A adapter).

So I bought and tried a bunch of cheap Android devices until I found one that works with a data/charging splitter:
Splitter used: ddHIFI TC28CPro (they don't really make a difference)
DAC used: SMSL PO100 AK (a battery-less dongle dac)
What didn't work (charging takes priority; music plays to the headphone jack or the speaker):
- Sony NW-A306 (Android 14)
- Soyes xs18 pro max (Android 8.1)
- Hiby M300 (Android 13)
- Unihertz Jelly 2 (Android 11)
What worked:
- Phonemax Q9 mini (Android 14)
They all seem to output 5V0.2A according to my USB C power tester, so the issue seems to be at the software level...
