I leave everything at maximum both in the app and on the smartphone and only use the independent volume on the Dac/ampGuys and one more thing about hardware volume sliders (DAC with dedicated volume control) . It's better to max out Left & Right channel and play with Master slider or Max everything?
Just payed for it, the only other Android app I ever paid for, PowerAmp when it was version 2.0. It was very nice player, until the version 3 happened. Had auto update on at the time, big mistake. Some things should be left alone. Why do developers need to take their own excellent app, and ruin it for no reason at all, to the point result loses everything good about it.
Turns out Audio Player Pro does not read SACD rips in iso format.
This is often hailed as the best audio player for Android, but since it can't read iso file, it is useless to me. Should have done some reading before buying it.
Regarding PowerAmp V2 have you tried contacting the developer to see if he is able to send you a copy of the previous version, or using one of the Android APK sites to obtain the previous version?
You could then try installing the older version, I am not sure if it will overwrite the existing version, if not you may need to uninstall the existing app 1st
I have the APK of the original PowerAmp, the V2, I downloaded it and have it runni g on several Android DAPs. Just make sure you turn off the Auto Update at Play store.
Unfortunately the V2, the initial PowerAmp does not let you Install it in newer versions of Android, my Samsung S22 is from few years ago, it wont let me I install V2, and there is no way around. It only installs the newest version of PowrAmp.
This issue got every PowerAmp user very upset few years ago, after the v3 update, and tons of discussion at Reddit. The developer is one guy and he refuses to allow rolling back to original version, the V2. Everyone was complaining, begging to back to V2.
What makes people upset, the app is not free, it's not expensive, of course, but the prevelent opinion of huge number of users is, they never would have paid for it if they knew the v3 is completely different player.
And it is completely different. It is incredibly complicated player, there are options for options for options, and then more options. Of just useless features.
Fir example, having used V2 since Onkyo X1 player, I am very familiar with the player and all the options. But it took me an hour to find simple 'list options ' to play files by file name. Seems easiest thing, and it was with V2, it is now so buried under sub menues, it takes you forever to find it, and it's the most basic setting, how and what order to play songs in a given folder.
I don't use it on my newer devises. There is so much annoying about, it could fill a book.
I wonder if it could be something to do with your SD card?--assuming you're talking about local files and that's your source drive. If it's Tidal I don't know.My UAPP, since the last several days, no longer remembers the last song it played. On starting the app, the Playback window comes up empty and so is the Queue listing.
I had already tried clearing its cache and when that did not help, I deleted and reinstalled the app. Did not work also.
Can someone help please?
If you're on an older Android version that might be an issue. But regardless, I would try to delete cache, delete settings, uninstall, reboot and reinstall UAPP.I'm having major issues with UAPP while streaming Tidal. It always crashes, sometimes after several songs and sometimes even on the first one. I don't know what to do anymore. Very frustrating. Battery consumption almost doubles when compared to Tidal alone regardless of the dongle I am using.![]()
Yes, I will try all of that, as for Android I am using 14. But I believe I will solve this, I am more concerned about battery consumption when using UAPP, regardless of the dongle I am using, it is being battery drained a lotIf you're on an older Android version that might be an issue. But regardless, I would try to delete cache, delete settings, uninstall, reboot and reinstall UAPP.
If it persists you could try an older version of UAPP and see if it stabilizes. There could be some kind of hardware/software conflict if it's something that recently cropped up from a UAPP update.
Yeah, that one's a mystery. I don't use UAPP that often in USB-connected mode so I don't really know what's normal. Maybe someone else can comment that uses UAPP a lot with phones and dongles.Yes, I will try all of that, as for Android I am using 14. I use Uapp all the time; most uses are with a USB DAC (DC04Pro and Onix Xi1); I do not feel the extra drain. Xperia 1 IV phone.Yes, I will try all of that, as for Android I am using 14.
