These dont sound like ED-8 it has no typical Ultrasone sound it’s more in HD-800 direction very neutral but slightly warmer and more ”alive”.

Thank God for that!

What a lovely looking pair of Ultrasones!!!  Nice that they're sounding lovely too.  I'd assume the price is just as lovely to boot?

Would someone care to make this known on this thread, i.e., planned MSRP?

PS// Found it.... an impressive $2749.

Hey Thinker, Are you located in Europe?
Does anybody know when they are schedule to arrive in the USA?

Muppetface,
Let us know of your impression with the WA22. It would be representative of what I would expect out of my WA5-LE.

Considering that he only plugged them into his Mac Pro, I can't help wondering if the bass wont suddenly explode once he uses his big tube amp.

Sounds great, but is it great enough?

Dunno... The Pro 900 got bassier when running it underamped.

From your description thinker, these seem like they sound exactly as I had hoped. I'm thrilled reading your review. I can't wait until you test them out on other amps. I've gotten ahold of a Beta 22 to try them out on, along with my Concerto and WA22.

I'm really looking forward to your impressions vs. the O2. IMO the Stax is still reigning king of all headphones, but I'm curious how the ED10 compares.

Are you using a DAC? You mentioned they sound exceptional out of an iPod. It would be quite a feat if these sounded as good as an HD800 without an amp.

I mean, if that's the case, then these are suddenly more competitive with "more reasonably priced" cans that need amping.
