I think the free space inside the shell and the orientation of the SPD make it a bit prone to human error.
on this occasion, I was told that this is special acoustic chamber - this is the main difference from Celest Gumiho

You mean the shell cavity or the enclosure of the SPD itself?
iem shell - At least that's what the manufacturer told me. I will receive my Xuan Wu today :)

I have actually opened up 2 pairs and I didn't notice anything special about the IEM shell aprat from the bottom part being a bit small so it's easy to miss filling the UV glue. That being said, there is really something special about the rendition of the stage of this IEM. It's really comfortable and relaxing at low to medium volume but the treble is messed up at higher volume.

OK, I am really liking the XuanWu for the smoother sound compared to the ST5 and it is definitely better than the TA1 MAX. It sounds to me the treble of the XuanWu has better dynamic than the ST5 which is especially good for vocales. The ST5 has a sharper sound and more detail in the mids and treble but I think the XuanWu beats the ST5 in smoothness and better sub-bass or maybe even bass. Overall they are close in SQ. I hope TRN can improve their first batch QC thou...

Edit: Also, the XuanWu has a less foward rendition of the sound space so more air is allowed between the notes.
Blindbuy-ed, hope it will arrive before Christmas

PS: My order was cancelled. I was able to re-order at the same price from different seller, I have to wait for another week though.

Just received mine and it comes with free additional ear tips. Good quality shell.
I just replaced the cable to try it out.

Got mine as well.

Need a little time with it but initial impressions are that it sounds quite good.

I spent 5 mins with them and that is not enough time to judge, but I have to agree with you, they did enough to make me think they have good potential.

The new tips also look interesting. I have not tried the tips yet.

I heard that the treble is not that good (as a planar should be). How’s yours?
Bear with me, I just need to spend some time with them. The problem is I am in the middle of writing up my review for another set, so I try not to listen to another set until that is done. Hopefully others might chip in with their impressions before then.

The new tips material similar to moondrop spring, but smaller bore. Not small bore, they are on medium bore, similar to cp360 bore width.
Quite tacky for seal, not bad at all IMHO since they are cheap too.
