Can't wait to compare with est112
Thatā€™s my question too. I basically believe we will note enhancements in the Bax low-end, from reading all the EST 112 reviews. Though the question maybe is, whatā€™s your thing......do you want more linear response or wildness? They actually may turn out to be complementary? Though it is quite amazing how much the Bax emulates the 112 inner shape! Also the cut-away build drawings! Lol

TRN Bax

I actually like the ā€œshower headā€ screens on the Bax better, at least by looking at photographs of the 112? Though itā€™s remarkable how much the back was plagiarized!

Take note of the laser-engraved logo and blue TRN trademark.

I'd like a little more treble and bass which the bax looks like it provides

Also I would like big soundstage
The soundstage is whatever the music does, but try the TRON soundtrack. The remake version not the old 1980s version. Also itā€™s kinda thick, where the distance is also in-front and in-back. Especially with that OST. I hope you like it! Fingers crossed!

Do you find it more mid focued or bass focused? I am looking for a hyperactive version of the Fiio FH3. Thanks.

On paper itā€™s a subtle V. But honestly there are a ton of mids, like really all mids. Lol

I know the above maybe doesnā€™t make sense? Itā€™s even handed with fun bass at times.

I perceive it as actually mids with a bass bump, with EST treble. Itā€™s slightly hyper in that there is this intensity that maybe 1/100th of the time can actually be too much. I had to search for its issues. The opening theme of Star Wars was too much, due to this brashness. But I never found really any other music that did that. But if someone was a big orchestra listener there may be more of that brashness, but Iā€™m not really an orchestra buff, so I donā€™t know, just OSTs, Rock and Metal.

Never heard FH3. Itā€™s like an IER-Z1R in that the stage is big, but it doesnā€™t have the reserved serious detail inside of the instruments, like the IER. But the instrument tone and timbre is perfect, like the IER-Z1R. Itā€™s more vibrant and colorful than the IER-Z1R. Slight sloppiness in comparison to the IER, but a ton of fun. Itā€™s vibrancy has me listening to it all the time.

To answer your question it has less dense bass than the EarSonics ONYX, also less defined bass than that IEM. But the mids are big and clear, so the bass has a presence at times, but still itā€™s not basshead saturated or anything. Itā€™s like the perfect balance to me, thatā€™s why I thought the magic was FR, but I couldnā€™t totally put my finger on why itā€™s so good?

Iā€™m using wide bore tips too, which make the bass less, also the bass faster, as well as the whole signature have wider soundstage and more mids.
