Same here. With the same wifi network, I don't see the gap problem on my mac.

If only there will be an offline mode. This is really bad...

That really depends on your use case. Personally, I'm fine with it since I use Tidal more for sampling new music. If I love the music enough I'll buy the CD, do a lossless rip and add it to my sdcard.

Not unless the labels allow it.

I don't hope for offline mode anymore, however, when I said in AK 300 thread there will be no offline mode someone answered this:

"actually they announced at rocky Mountain can jam that you will be able to on most of there daps in the future. You can watch the video on you tube." (post #800)

I'm not sure I understand the comment from him though.  Did AK build the Tidal app themselves from Tidal api's somehow?  I guess I figured that Tidal built the app for support on AK's platform, just like they did for iOS and Android.

Mm...updated my AK 240 to firmware 1.35. Tidal.com support and USB Digital out support now available. Thanks Astell & Kern.

Wow, how's playback sound and UI for Tidal? I've thought of getting a AK240 until now...

Mm....as well as can be expected. I am using Tidal.com and streamed through the USB Digital Out to my WA8 Eclipse, and output through my AK T8ie. Excellent sound. TIDAL out of the AK 240 is also so very good. The AK version of Tidal is okay, with the offline listening mode a prominent omission. I use the yellow star (My Music) as a proxy.

It's pretty much crippled without the offline support. A failed implementation if you asked me, I will just continue ripping CDs instead. Not everyone has unlimited data for streaming music while on commute.

don't blame AK, it's the labels that don't allow any other app than the native Tidal app to have offline mode. imo AK did everything they could.
