Sounds like its safe to update now.
Good :)
It is indeed, and now a certain someone can stop ranting about Opus #1S being released without having fixed Opus #1 first. :D

As it is now, the UI is a proper model of well thought ergonomy and there is hardly ANY bug left.

If I add to make a minor claim for improvement, it would be that the backwards/forwards physical and onscreen buttons can also be used for fast forward/backward when kept pressed, as they usually do on most DAPs. The navigation bar is sometimes not precise enough for very long songs (progressive rock fan, so yes, 20 min songs do happen).

All is well now. Installed latest firmware and everything works as it should.

Finally.

Hi, just bought the Opus#1. Whenever I on the #1i have to wait for few minutes before it scans. Does it happen on all Opus or is it faulty? Thanks
It´s normal. There´s no need to shut it down completely. It has a stanby function that works very well and does not drain the battery too much.
If you turn it off completely, once you turn it on it rescans all the music again.

Ah, seeing this first time in a DAP. Thanks for the info.

I never shut mine down completely...if I do, it takes around 20 minutes to rescan the contents of my two 128 gb cards. I just let it sleep instead. Then it is instantly ready when I press the button to wake it. It enters sleep mode automaticallynwhen not in use.

If you add things you may want it to rescan although I have found that new albums are visible right away without doing that.

Hi. I just purchased the Opus#1 Metal Premium from Amazon(MusicTeck) at a great price. I've updated to the latest firmware. Also installed my two 128gb SD cards and updated the library. Everything seems to working and sounding great. However, I notice that in FOLDERS view the little icons do not correctly indicate the storage selection.

On my DAP:

FOLDERS<INTERNAL, the ICON shown is the microSD1 graphic.

FOLDERS<EXTERNAL, Card 1(lower slot) the ICON shown is microSD2 graphic.

FOLDERS<EXTERNAL, Card 2(upper slot) the ICON shown is the music notes graphics, indicator for internal.

Is this a known "bug" or a glitch with my unit?

Thanks.

No that is correct as the ICON is for the next choice. So Internal -> microSD1 -> microSD2 -> Internal

I have been using the newest firmware with no problem. That 10 second bug is gone! The gain setting are working again.

I think it took over an hour to d/l it though.

I still have the 10 second bug. From firmware 2.00.09.

That is disappointing. I do not have it at all anymore and it used to be really bad.

I assume it installed correctly on yours?

Only one way to install in. In the internal storage and through the settings.

I just was wondering if you had checked the info on the player to make sure that it says it has 2.00.09

I am sure you did but it never hurts to ask the obvious... :)
