FWIW they were the first dealer to carry the iBasso DX-200 in the US, and seemed to handle the gazillions of support issues which arose in an adequate manner. Mostly just served as a conduit for return/replacement of defective DX-200s (bad screens).

    They certainly seem legit.

I don't have the Opus, but I have both IEM's and they are both great. For the money I would get the IT01 a bit funner with better bass, use the wide bore tips supplied.

MusicTeck is having a sale on Opus DAPs. for the same $399 you can get the 1S with Dignis leather case.

I'm beginning to lust after the Opus#2 but won't give up my #1.
Does anyone know (or heard rumors) if Opus is going to revamp it's entire line and that's the reason for
    the price drops ?

I wouldn't be surprised if their next move is a new flagship, since Opus #2 is a bit dated and lacks capacity for a flagship, despite its sonic awesomeness.

Any more input on the newest update?

I think the drop in price is a natural consequence of the introduction of the Opus #1s

Black Friday prices were lower still. $239 for Opus#1, $299 for Opus#1 Metal from ProStudio on Amazon.

$999 for Opus#2 from MusicTeck thank you very much :gs1000smile: Still or back at that price today.

Agree that prices are dropping on theBit products. Hopefully not a bad sign for the health of the company.

Nothing beats Black Friday week-end prices nowadays, even in countries where Black Friday didn't exist 3-4 years ago.
In France, it is sales period from January 12th to February 20th, and we only got at best -10% on some old DAPs, while there were -20/30% offers on Black Friday.
Normal sales have been dead for 2 years.

And mind you, the price you get for Opus DAPs in the US are the lowest in the world along with Singapore.
Opus 2# is at least 1400$ anywhere in Europe, and never ever was on sale, and most of the time it's not on stock.
Opus #1 got discounted for about 300$ but is sold without its case (+60$).
Opus #1S is nowhere to be seen in Europe, so I ended up ordering at Jaben.

Anyone compare the Opus 1 to the AK70?

I ordered my Opus #1 from MusicTeck in November, but while it was being delivered I signed nice contract and went to another side of the globe for work. Long story short, now it's three month past and I'm going home soon, finally to grab this DAP waiting for me.
So, guys, my question is: what is the sequence for the firmware update? First, update original firmware to and then to the latest one, right?
