I'm pretty partial to the stabilized and poured resin ZMFs, but this headphone is the most classy and beautiful ZMF has released, IMHO. As usual, photos dont do these justice!

Any sound impressions to share? Vs the VC/Auteur perhaps?

To be clear this is the Atrium - and the auteur will be replaced by the "auteur classic."

Atrium - new driver - new tuning, new damping system different experience still on the "zmf neutral" side.

auteur classic - same classic auteur sound, very similar and slightly improved driver, atrium damping system added.

The driver is still biocellulose, but totally re-designed. There's more info on the differences on this page:

The damping has a pretty intense impact on the overall character of the headphone. I will be doing a full video review of it shortly, so I don't want to give it all away, but the sound is very, very different from the Auteur and the Verites, but once you put it on your skull, there's no denying its a ZMF.

EDIT:

I will add that im getting two very different experiences depending upon what amp im using, and of course what pads im using as well, and before anyone asks, I prefer the Auteur pads, which are an option when you buy the Atrium. Universe pads are stock.

New Coke actually tested through the roof pre-release in all sorts of blind tests. They vastly underestimated customer attachment to the product though. They should have released it as a limited edition product instead of completely replacing Coca-Cola Classic.

I'm loving my demo set!! Took them to a staycation hotel with the fam last weekend... even off the iFi Gryphon they were fantastic! I'm becoming more and more addicted to them the more I listen with them... they may even overtake my beloved VO for my number 1 spot open-back headphones...

Worth a mention - Atrium is stock tuned with the solid "titan mesh." It is compatible with the other titan mesh with holes in it as well, or you can take it off completely to really increase treble qty.
