From the Skunk Works department of Heir Audio
 
At Heir Audio we have always had the goal of making some of the best audio gear available. The trouble is, CIEMs require ear mold impressions which can be cumbersome to the purchaseing process.  Beyond that, we sell products all over the world, from Romania, Greece, Singapore, Kuwait, Taiwan etc etc.  Finding a location to get propper ear mold impressions is sometimes very difficult for some of our customers.
 
To help over come this obstacle we developed the 3.Ai and the 4.Ai. They are also hand crafted, with the same exating standards used to build our CIEMs. Their internal structure is also the same as their respective cousins, the 3.A and the 4.A.
 
We hope that starting August 6th, our web site order menu will be set up to allow for pre-orders to be taken.  The expected shipping date is September 1.
 
Both the 3.Ai and the 4.Ai will come in (no custom variation):

In addition to the release of the 3.Ai and 4.Ai, our North American office/distributorship will be opening September 1st to help facilitate the release and shipment of both custom and non-custom products in the North American territories. This will greatly reduce shipping times and and shipping costs for customers in this area and ourselves as well.
 
Please note that custom products will still be built at the Heir Audio Labs, but North American customers will be expected to send their earmold impressions to the US instead of China.
 
Complete contact information will be posted on our website shortly as well as updated shipping options/instructions for North American customers. For now, you can go ahead and talk to user bangkokkid, who will be heading the North American operation.

Omg universals?? If I ever buy universals again, heir universals for sure! Hope they make like an 8.Ai, that would be nice.

With the goal of creating a unifit product, we had to concentrate on keeping the housing as small as possible. That being said, the housing being used for the 3.Ai and 4.Ai could not contain 8 speakers.

Any word on the pricing of these? Can we expect something in the price-range of a set of SE530's or would they be more?

Currently, the projected prices are $299 for the 3.Ai and $399 for the 4.Ai. Right now both products will be shipping with the Heir Audio carrying case, a cleaning tool, three sizes of high-quality ear tips, the standard Heir Audio cable (with the option to upgrade to the Magnus-1), and a two (2) year non-transferable limited warranty.

Universals do not always fit every ear.  Heir Audio already have my ear molds in storage.  Can they be used to make universals that will surely fit me?

Unfortunately, no. The goal of the IEM is to decrease production time to reach more people, all while staying true to our very exacting standards.
