I think a good approach would be a comparison between factory new IEMs and „burned in“ IEMs. Both with the same brandnew tips and without any visible signs of usage. Of course the person who compares A/B many times and sometimes 2x or 5x the same, doesn’t know which one is currently in use.

If the person has a match rate that is much higher better than a trained monkey would randomly push the right button, there might be actually burn-in.

Not really involving measuring devices though.

I've been puzzling about that one, as a vote in the upper tier is not qualitatively equivalent to a vote in the lower tier. I'm content to leave it as is given the 12t is a special case as an IEM that has appeared in both price brackets over time.

I think he's saying that it's listed in both brackets. That's also why I got to 7 votes total. And with 64Audio chiming in themselves I think that should mean U12t loses its status in the first bracket.

Mind you, I'm not a U12t lover but I consider that of zero relevance for a group poll.
