Thank you for your honest and forthright review. I just ordered one recently and hoping to get a cardas clear cable for mine but in the meantime will be comparing the stock to the Traillii cable. I mainly purchased the KK as a compliment to Traillii for more energetic music and orchestral music as I think it will do a good job there. I used to own the Mest Indigo and while it had the best imaging I’ve ever heard thus far, the treble was fatiguing and little grating/rough around the edges for my library. So I hope that KK will fit what I’m looking for. I will post impressions here once I receive it and let them burn for a week or so. Thanks again for the review 😃
Given what you’ve shared, I’m eager to hear your impressions of KK. It’ll be v interesting comparisons because of what I hear KK to be :)

You are welcome! Looking forward to your impressions!
I’ve also bought KK as a compliment pair with similar intentions - very curious how it will work for you 🙂

HiBy RS8 pre ordered! I really liked the DAP when I had the demo unit.

I have this IEM called “Adastra Skyline” coming to demo tomorrow from Andrew, this is all I know. Looking forward to seeing what this is about.

You remind me of the good old days walking around the street and listening to music.

Yes, definitely Sony cdp is great cheap cd source especially one with optical out.
The 3.5 analog output is apparently showing some noise floor, but the optical out is quite impressive.

Awesome trip down memory lane. I had the Sony MD player all the way to Koss CD players. Good times.

Are you able to share which brand is this from? I like the faceplate colour and font! 😊

RH1 is the goat!

I didn't realize how popular it became later on. I guess it's the last MD walkman? I happened on it back then looking for one with the good recording capability. It sounds kind of bright for today's standard  Not for someone with 50kHz sensitivity...

Cool! I can't believe I was listening with this stuff compared to what we have today...

It is incredible how far audio and portafi has come along. I'm relatively new and blown away at how fast things are being released
