Life has ways of beautifully pulling us apart. Old death and new life never felt so good.
Wishing you all a blessed morning from here in Seattle!

That's so odd given that (unless I'm mistaken) UM is based in China.

Red Halo and Mentor are not that much alike imho.
It is based in China. We only get cheaper and more popular ones like Mest, MEXT, or "Limited" editions like the Indigo or Le Jardin here.

Maybe they are preparing a special edition Mentor for Hong Kong because here, any combination of "Limited Edition" and "Expensive" is going to sell out in five seconds, regardless of quality. Stuff like a signature on the Blanc selling for 400 USD more is sold out before the normal version, or a paint job for 900USD extra on the Centurion is selling faster than the normal version. If I am a business I would definitely rip these guys off as well.

Don't understand the context
You ordered U18T directly from manufacturer in Berlin and shipping was denied because of export / import restrictions?
Why not ordered from local dealer?
No, I have sold the U18t and I'm trying to ship it out of Vietnam.

Priceless write-up which unfortunately confirms it's more of a genre specialist than the do-it-all I was hoping for.

Pretty sure it's about introducing the special edition first, or even 2-3 different ones as it's UM after all. I take it the most expensive UM model is still only available in China and possibly mainland only.

Hey guys, it's finally here! My full RS8 thesis review is now online.

A word of caution: at 10,000+ words, this is easily the biggest review I've ever written, so you may want to set aside an hour or two to fully digest it in one sitting. In any case, I hope you find it useful, and as always, feel free to DM me or comment in this thread and I'll be sure to reply as soon as possible. Enjoy!

I'd go for the TZ700 for a do-it-all. Very impressive sound quality for its price (as a matter of fact, for any price with a single DD). Perpetua might not be so hot for Rock or EDM imo.

Nah, we have stuff like the Legend EVO HK limited edition/Valkyrie HK limited selling like hot cakes. The original Valkyrie no one buys, then the limited edition dropped this year and it is literally selling everyday despite it sounding exactly the same. Granted they are for the same price so I'll give them that, but still.

Yeah I’m still using an 8-IEM case as well but the plan is to sell off a few that I’m not using so they all fit in one case :)

Many audiothusiasts would happily drive into the sunset, with the content of your honorable mention VN case, never looking back.
Well, certainly not you, certainly not the watercoolers ... 😄😄😄

It's a really nice cable. Very pretty and way lighter and more supple than 24 AWG silver should be. I have too much engineering bias to give audible differences an honest shake, even on an iem as sensitive as the V16, but I enjoy a nice first party cable upgrade like this for its own sake.
