That mojo 2 actually looks like a nice upgrade if all that is true.

But... Clearly keeping poly compatibility seems to have been their main focus with the ports and external design. That USB c looks like they just needed an extra spot to put it.

Also a menu system with mute and other stuff sounds cool, except that the interface is just colored balls. And as much as I like the balls, I'm guessing you'll have to memorize things or actively have the manual with you to actually know what you are doing at any given time.

And if that $700+ price is true, then yea, the ifi gryphon just looks like it represents a much much better value.
I agree. I'll demo it at CanJam, but it's not enough to get me to want to buy it. I am more interested in the Ifi Gryphon.

What cable do you run on traillii?

I listen primarily to classical music and it is very difficult to imagine something surpassing the traillii + orphy combo.

Jewel is on the to-try list though…
I use a stock cable on Traillii. Musictek has a demo Jewel circulating around and you should definitely try it.

Exciting! Looking forward to hearing your first impressions and getting round with them when my turn rolls around a couple of months out.

Elysian X are discontinued and almost impossible to get them here. I also exchanged a few PMs with the X owners and most told me its timbre is not ideal for classical music.
Interesting, @bigbeans told me that the X is outstanding for Classical. I hope to hear it soon.

I know you listen mostly to Classical music and you love the HD800(S). Have you ever tried pairing it with a full sized transformer coupled tube amp? I only ask because my HD800S paired with my Ampsandsound Rockwell is my best system for Classical music.

Oh yes I used to have the Cayin tube amp with 300B x 2. This is my fourth HD800SDR and I need to grab another amp soon but I am too preoccupied with the Jewel right now.
At around 70th hour, it is now officially my #1 transducer.

Well, we have now a few people with that sentiment regarding the Jewel. Why did you sell the HD800 3 times? I think my HD800S like my HD600 and 650 are my forever headphones. I am keeping them no matter what.

I always feel a tinge of pride when you mention that amp.
I proudly do it for you. I hope you get a chance to hear it some day. It has the midrange tonality perfect for you.

1st time: Got tired of fixing its tonality with EQ.
2nd time: I transition into IEMs and wasn’t using it.
3rd time: my sonarworks trial ended.
