I do not think you will be disappointed. That’s good to hear bc I am seriously considering the R8ii and I like the pairing of the 1AM2 with the mentor a lot and feel it could a slight bit more crispier with the mentor. I extremely dislike the RS6 with the mentor. I feel it sounds stuffy with very little detail, so if the R8ii sounds like the 1AM2 like u say I’m on board. Especially that blue color would be great aesthetically with my mentor.

No doubt. But the WM1ZM2 just looks to damn goood. And can be melted into a gold bar. R8 can do thatR8 II way freaking cheaper over 1zm2. XD
Given the strength of the USD v JPY, it's not that much difference in price.R8 II way freaking cheaper over 1zm2. XD

What centurion does to subass is magic. The way it interacts with the CDM tube amp as well, just wow. Find myself listening to music I don't even like just to hear it. Crazy a cable swap could make this much difference and can't believe Aroma handicapped Jewel so much with the stock cable. I am mesmerized with this chain: Pi2aes --> Hugo2 --> CDM --> Centurion --> Jewel. Also adds a lot of body to the mid bass, PHat bass lines.

If you like bass in metal checkout the stoner, doom a sludge metal genres for downtuned guitars.

My mom had a solid 2 years of listening to them everyday during Covid, the chants coming from the living room TV..Though this is legit the first time I heard them speak English lol.
Good stuff though:

Conventional wisdom is out the window with Quattro!! I've put a cable on it that costs 2x the IEM!! Insanity occurring here!

I am still trying to figure out what's the real appeal of Quattro, in the beginning I thought it is the timbre. But again, when I did any critical analysis, it was hard for me to find anything that Quattro excels, so I am really wondering what is so mesmerizing about Quattro.Quattro insanity continued
Lol I’ve had the Quattro in my possession for about 2 hours. I’m just having some fun with it. Will follow up hah.I am still trying to figure out what's the real appeal of Quattro, in the beginning I thought it is the timbre. For me, Quattro is not for critical listening, as it fails to deliver a lot of things. It's more of a mood-basis iem, if you are in a good mood (in the zone) it really hits you hard; otherwise, on some occasions, I just want to grab anything but these.I am still trying to figure out what's the real appeal of Quattro, in the beginning I thought it is the timbre.
