I’ve been listening to a drum & bass album ‘hold your colour’ by Pendulum this afternoon. If you
want to give your DD drivers a bit of a workout I recommend a listen 😀

This album is hitting home today! What a great new release from an Epic band. I loved these guys in the 90’s and this album shows they are still so relevant today!

Cayin N7–>Dita Perpetua sounds like heaven!

Yeah! Got it too. Slowdive deliver once more. Some things still survive and it’s well so.

Just finishing up work for the week and SO enjoying my home "desktop" setup, I have a hard time shutting it down! The pretty cheap hifiman dac/amp sounds excellent playing from foobar and has plenty of juice to drive my LCDi4s. Folks don't talk about these much anymore being like 6 years old!

But when they are comfortably and properly fitted, and then EQd, they are stunning and rival almost anything else out there! That huge 30mm planar driver is tuned strangely, but when EQd, the super deep, rumbly bass blends perfectly with its forward mids and sparkly treble highs.

Thankfully, this is easily and freely available using foobar and the Audeze reveal plug in! Playing thru the r2r hifiman, it's really just a perfect way to spend and end a Friday! Happy weekend!!!

I actually wanted to sell the Elysian 2023 again after a few hours 😅 . It's just too much Bass .And I don't think that's a question of listening taste ,…But after I have reduced the Bass with EQ and also a little in the highs , since then the Elysian plays really fantastic for me. Now with this musical performance I don't sell the Inear so quickly anymore. I think I've reached my goal for the time being when it comes to Inear.

But ,.. Listening to the Subtonic in real life would also be interesting 🙃
This is how the EQ calculations look .
( I tried to explore the approximate sonic orientation of the Storm to hear if the Subtonic is even suitable for me )

I also think the Anni had slightly too much mid-bass relative to its sub and upper-bass, so it kinda sticks out. Reducing it makes it sound more linear, especially transitioning to its lower-mids, which was OK on the '23 but a bit thin on '21. Then there is the upper-mids which again was elevated by tuning default like its mid-bass. If anyone is wondering how a W-shaped IEM sound like, Anni for me is a good example of that. Superb technicalities though (stage, layering, resolution, etc.) but I think its little sibling Diva sounded more coherently tuned. Now wishing the next Elysian model would share similar tuning to Diva but with DD bass and special sauce treble :)

Speaking of treble I just tried the release version Madoo Typ821 the other day, and my word it was amazing. Very impressive in all areas, unique planar timbre in bass, mids & treble department. It sounded quite accurate tonally, and natural warmer bassier than the prototype. High resolution, and a lovely extended treble to complement its range/reach. A contender for the best ~$1500 to me, along with the likes of Diva & Singularity. Though its bass decay is slightly faster than most DDs I think many DD fans might like it. Hope more will get to try soon :)

Have you tried Perpetua on DX320? If yes would you be able to draw a comparison between DX320 vs N7 and/or LP6Ti?

Just sharing in case there's any interest: for those who have missed out the special deals at A2A for Focal HPs including the Utopia 2022, I've just been informed that Jaben SG is also having special deals for Focal HPs. Will be of particular interest to Singaporeans and surrounding countries. For a limited time only. I recall only until end of September. :)
