Hello friends,

Had a short meetup with @Sajid Amit sir as he visited India for some business trip. We had a small discussion over coffee on Senn IE600(which he liked), Fearless Audio S8F(Which actually surprised him with the performance), and also the BQEYZ Topaz.

Today's meet was small we didn't have a lot of gear to enjoy either. But we got into a lot of discussions on the IE600.

I enjoyed watching @Sajid Amit's Youtube reviews before I even know headfi. However, I thought he is Indian and lived in India.

Single ended adapter. Cayin 4.4 to 3.5. It alters the midrange a little bit.
The mest is probably #12-13 without that setup.

Ar-m2 has good synergy with Sony ex8000st too!

What's your thoughts on Venom vs FT with Jewel Claud?

Just got Jewel and Venom. I read the Twister 6 review before buying Venom. Have you ever tried a drjuggles cable?

I was able to briefly audition the V16 at London CanJam and I will say I was thoroughly impressed and that's with the stock cable. It's been a bit since I owned the U12t so I went over to the 64 Audio table to listen to the U12t again then back to the V16 and I did prefer the V16 in my brief time with it. I also liked the V16 over the Monarch mkii. To me the V16 is like a warmer, more engaging version of the Monarch mkii which sounded more flat and reference-y to my ears and didn't capture my attention like the V16 did. Wish I had brought my Phonix to compare but I don't think V16 was on the same level as Phonix let alone the Traillii which I did have with me at the show. Definitely impressive for an all BA at its price point and I'd like to spend more time with it.

yes i agree with you, I think for people who enjoys traillii or phoenix, will appreciate the V16, which I also prefer to the Monarch MkII. I personally recommends the V16 over the Monarch MkII if anyone wants to go for the Thieaudio endgame. I feel like the evolution of the Monarch MkII is the Jewel and the evolution of V16 is the Phoenix, based on SS and sound character.
But this is just my thoughts haha

Denon ah-d9200? B-stock are 750, waiting for a pair myself. Not heard them yet but bass seems to be a big tick in the box for them. M9 might also well be a better pairing then N8ii for upper mids / lower treble.

Focal although easy to drive probably aren't in the running due to lack of bass emphasis, plus the beryllium drivers are very noticeable.

Not sure how easy to drive ZMF are, another favourite.

I was also thinking Denons since they’re easily driven, closed back with great Subbass and detailed. I love mine so I’m biased

I always thought in Bobby Bland delivery I heard where Janis Joplin got her inspiration on how to deliver a vocal. He is an amazing singer, recording quality for his tracks can be lacking unfortunately.

I also had 8 track not portable though, one car had it when I was young. The albums we had were The Who’s Next, Styx Grand Illusion, the original Star Wars movie, and Eagles Hotel California. They are the ones I remember anyway.

That's why i like n3pro tube mode. It allows me to play mp3 or bad production because it hides recording imperfections imho.

It looks like Oriolus Traillii is still the "King of Kings," but the U12t's second place prompted me to buy it because I usually target the flagship IEM. Thank you for the summary; it helped me clarify the next target.

I'll be reviewing Advar as part of the tour and plan to compare with my collection - not sure when my turn is for IE600, hopefully close enough to while I still have Advar! That said, I will definitely buy Advar, just not for another couple of weeks.

Yes I tried Grand Duke a few weeks ago, excellent DD but ultimately not for my collection - it didn't suit electronic music as much, better for vocals, acoustic etc... incredible timbre, you'd know it was produced by a brand that makes highly regarded buds - definitely has that same DNA.
