+1. I have a Brother label maker for this, which helps a lot.

I too have a Brother label maker...which makes us Brother brothers.

Listening to Caldera this morning with my recently revamped DAC. Shopping for umbilical connectors as I'm rebuilding my main headphone amp for the third time with the power supply in a separate chassis. Third try is the charm!

Is that a @L0rdGwyn designed DAC?
(he asks as he wipes drool off of his keyboard)

Yeah it is, a NOS PCM63 DAC with a tube output stage. I recently changed the line output transformer and the top plate though, which was a nice upgrade. Orange top plate adds a nice warmth and the new transformers look good.

DAC to the Future?
🤣

or since Aegis is a mythical breastplate (protection) maybe the Dac's name would be a mythical sword.

The Sword of DAC-ocles.

I'm not sure @L0rdGwyn wants that project hanging over his head.

Well never say never but designing a DAC, even a relatively simple one, is a whole different ball game from a single ended tube amp. So I won't say it'll never happen but, again, no plans lol.

That does look stunning.

My entire post had no purpose other than a lame Sword of Damocles joke (thus the project hanging over the head). Definitely not to be taken seriously by anyone.
