The Takstar, Technical Pro, Gemini Greathon, CyberX, Qpad Thread

I often stretch the entire pad over the outside of the cup, and then back it down and push it into the groove using a finger or thin, blunt object.  It may not sound logical to stretch the pad over the entire cup before putting it into the groove, yet it often goes on much easier that way.

Hd6000 has a very good isolation, they are intended for DJ use.

All in all nothing serious. There`s no need to send my 2050 to the old headphones home

Got my dark blue HM5 pads in.  These are impossible for me to get on.  No amount of stretching can get them on.  Did you guys cut the holes bigger on the pads to make them fit?

Would it make a difference that mine is a Gemini rebranded model?

Hmm, I wonder if Brainwavz changed the design on the back of the pads....

Good God, I am never taking these things off, for fear of ever having to go through that ordeal again! Haha

Thanks guys!

Nice!

I've been browsing back through several months of pages in this thread.  Is the Pro 80 now discontinued?

Maybe I should buy a second pair just in case mine ever breaks.

I think Takstar might has made a deal with Kingston to only OEM the HyperX headsets.
On a side note, I've just purchased a Sony XB950AP yesterday to satisfy my basshead tendency. Its MSRP is twice that of the Pro80 but bass is the only thing that it excels over the Pro80. Everything else sound wise Pro80 is the clear winner

They are definitely not discontinued. The Pro 80's and the 2050's disappeared from Takstars Homepage most likely because of kingston. They don't want the people to know that Takstar is producing the kingston headsets and the uninformed customer will pay the extra gaming brand addition.

Takstar Pro 80 cost 51$ with free shipping and the hyper cloud x cost arround 77$.
Just buy the sony ECM-CS3 clip on mic with a usb sound card and you have the better combo for nearly the same or cheaper price.

BTW: Takstar released a newer version of the HI 2050's.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I noticed that the Pro 80 now comes with a straight cable. Have there been any other changes besides getting rid of the coiled cable?
