Good God, I am never taking these things off, for fear of ever having to go through that ordeal again! Haha
Thanks guys!
I often stretch the entire pad over the outside of the cup, and then back it down and push it into the groove using a finger or thin, blunt object. It may not sound logical to stretch the pad over the entire cup before putting it into the groove, yet it often goes on much easier that way.

Hey i found a place near me who sells both takstar pro80 and takstar hd6000, for 67 and 69Euros respectively, so im wondering which should i buy, im reading same good stuff about hd6000 like pro80, only thing im interested how is the noise isolation on hd6000, since i like its looks better.
Hd6000 has a very good isolation, they are intended for DJ use.
I don`t see any difference to the "old" 2050. So, what`s new?
and sound wise they are pretty similar?
Got my dark blue HM5 pads in. These are impossible for me to get on. No amount of stretching can get them on. Did you guys cut the holes bigger on the pads to make them fit?
Would it make a difference that mine is a Gemini rebranded model?

I've been browsing back through several months of pages in this thread. Is the Pro 80 now discontinued?

Maybe I should buy a second pair just in case mine ever breaks.
They are definitelynot discontinued. The Pro 80's and the 2050's disappeared from Takstars Homepage most likely because of kingston. They don't want the people to know that Takstar is producing the kingston headsets and the uninformed customer will pay the extra gaming brand addition.
Takstar Pro 80 cost 51$ with free shipping and the hyper cloud x cost arround 77$.
Just buy the sony ECM-CS3 clip on mic with a usb sound card and you have the better combo for nearly the same or cheaper price.
BTW: Takstar released a newer version of the HI 2050's.
