Are you planning on getting L1 or X1? Make sure you buy those from a place that has good return policy. Even if you triple what you paid for hi2050 you might get headphones that are only sidegrades.

I was looking for Fidelio L1.. Any other suggestions for spending $150?

Also i really like new Creative Aurvana Live!2, but they're not available in my country yet.

I have very little experience in 150$ price range. Around that price I've only heard akg k501, akg k242hd, beyer dt770 pro, and dt990. That dt990 looked otherwise identical to dt990 pro but it didn't say pro anywhere instead there was text "professional" on the part that connects the hinges. I guess it was some very early model of pro or something... Anyway I prefer hi2050 over all those headphones.

Im sure there are better headphones in 150-200$ price range but for me it took sennheiser hd600 and beyer dt880 premium to get improvement.

Edit: Forgot Grado sr125. I preferred Takstars to that one too.

What can i say about Takstars in general: first headphones on my memory, where i didn't use any EQ or effects to get better sound - they sound just right and very clear. Also, talking about compare wih sennheisers, peolpe who listened to HD650 model told me that Takstar TS-662 are very close to them, if not better. Interensting to find these sennheisers and make comparison by myself.
P.S. Now i listen to Pink Floyd's "The Wall immersion boxset" with original quality in my 2050's - pure pleasure for ears

How is the bass on the TS-662's?

so 2050 is more recomended vs price then pro 80 how then is sound dispersion in air with them not loud around it :)?

If you mean sound leakage, 2050 does leak sound like any other open headphone. Or semi open...Doesn't matter. It either isolates or not. Semi open is really stupid term. If there was a hole in the roof in my house and rain would pour in calling it semi open roof doesn't really help. It leaks or it does not.

2050 and pro80 are so equal that there is no objective way of determining which is better.

If you want bit more bass, pro80 is better. If you like treble sparkle 2050 is better. If you like black headphones pro80 is better etc...

go for 2050's, give them a chance, time to burn in - and price is not so high, that you'll regret about it if they will not satisfy you)

Also look at TS-662, very good headphones + swivel cups will better sit to your head, but not as studry as 2050's are. Sound is almost identical, but in 662's your ears will be not so warm at summer.
About sound card - i listen to my 2050's on internal VIA VT2021. Didn't notice any dramatical changes, when plug into Dr.Dac Nano sound card+amp, maybe in details...

Quite enough. 2050's are little punchier, but overall TS-662 are very balanced phones.

Thank you!

Does those two have a similar sound signature? Would you say there's any point in getting the ts-662's if one already got the Pro80's?
