It's pretty obvious that this thread has long since left the realm of usefulness and is simply a fun romp at this point ...

I expect a gazillion more useful threads to pop up once the early buyers get their cans ...

I agree that would be an interesting comparison, as I'm assuming that "Stock HD600" means an HD600 with the stock cable, which isn't performing at its best.

Sennheiser HD 800 against HD 600 and HD 650. Again and again, and again…
Is it obligatory? HD 800 against Grado GS-1000, Stax Omega or AKG K1000 is forbidden or what?
More clear or more multidirectional sound than this HD 600 do, that is nothing new. The question is – how much?

Thanks for the review guys... Hmmm - not the only thing Sennheiser is launching at the moment aparently: I just found this sennheiser communcations rep explaining about the new iPhone plugs for the masses and MM 450. The interesting part is where he is calling the bundled iPhone plugs crap - litteraly. I rest my case.

Well, as to why HD800 is only comparing to HD650/600, maybe it has something to do with the fact that HD800 is demo by Sennheiser only and no where else at the moment......a tad hard on the reviewers no? Check with Sceptre as he did compare his Ed.9, RS-1 with HD800 - hope you catch him before he is off to France.
