Sorry for the thread resurrection, but this seemed like a good place to ask:
 
Are the cables on the HD25-1 II and the HD25-SP interchangeable? As in, are the left/right spade plugs the same?
 
(I know you'd have to rotate the drivers to use a symmetrical Y HD25-SP cable on the HD25-1 II, that's fine.)

Dusting off an old thread. I bought these a couple years ago. Listened to them then, enjoyed them, and haven't listened to them since. Until last night. OMG. What value for the money. Great Timbre, well balanced tonally. Not the widest soundstage, and not the solid build of the 5xx and 6xx series. That being said, if somehow they could be put on my head without being seeing, or touching them, I would guess that these are quality headphones in the $200-$300 price range. Anyway, we have many, many, new Headfi'ers since 2014 when this thread died off, and thought that maybe they would benefit from a little HD 25 love in 2022!
