Is the Asos wire the same as used in the standard ISN 4-wire cable? My DTE900 cable seems like the same construction and the spatial characteristics are outstanding.

ISN's C2 and C8 models appear to be OCC copper. They are obviously very cheap.
Yes, the ISN C2 that is one, also don’t forget your CS02 is a perfect example of a copper alloy cable that is truly special. But speaker cables take more material so it gets expensive fast when you start adding precious metals to them.

ISN-4 wire cable? Sorry dont know what cable your talking about.
The one that comes with the DTE900 and likely many others. I've seen it in their pictures online. I swapped it out for an EA Ares X Cadmus and the sound got worse. The stock cable was a great match. The wires look exactly the same as the Asos. But who knows.

One interesting feature is the ASOS and ASOS+ look very close to the same, a reviewer once said the two are identical, but they are not.

Penon is currently testing the 8 shares Pyramid cable and there's a high chance of listing it for sale very soon.
That's terrific news.

Audio gear that pushes the envelope of what's possible is always the most exciting.

I also believe the stock Penon Quattro cable is special, it really goes well with a few IEMs and is well worth the money, I feel.
Joined that cable came stock on Quattro with Empire Ears ESR II and wow what outstanding synergy

Giving Quattro another go before its continuing its tour, testing some more cables with EA Cadmus 8W and Lavricables Master Silver 4W. The change from stock cable to Cadmus 8W isn't huge to me, dont think I could have guessed in a blind test. Can be I hear a little more clarity in the midrange.
Master Silver is better as it cleans up the bass some making it tighter and better controlled, the treble also seem less sharp and get softer and more pleasant airiness.
Changes are small, but its worth it for the small difference if you already like Quattro.

Quattro's strength to me is having an enveloping and lush bass, very rich and textured and a little woolly. Can be very excellent when listening to classical or jazz to showcase every nuance of string instruments. Another very good strength is having a very wide and deep soundstage, much better than what I remember from the Penon Serial.

Midrange is a little more veiled than what I prefer, but this is preference. When using EQ to enhance it and also take down treble it comes more alive, becoming more L shaped instead of what I consider a V shaped tuning.

Old rock is a genre that is very nice with Quattro, Dire Straits - You and Your Friend as example. Stage is deep and the bass sounds good and lush, the drums have nice presence in both the kick drums and the cymbals. His voice is deep and husky and suits the bloom from the bass going into the midrange, same for guitars. Very nice and pleasing, for purists this might be to thick and warm and lack clarity. but I'm enjoying Quattro on this track.

I need some transition time from sets with more clear midrange to get used to Quattro, same that changing back after the Quattro a veil is lifted in the music. But I see the appeal with Quattro, its quite different than most sets I get my way for testing.

I need some help...what dynamic driver can you recommend from Penon / ISN models?
I've tried to adopt the hybrid sound but the DD qualities always win for me.

I've recently aquired TSMR Feat and while the sound is fun...they just losses compared with a classic DD like JVC FX1100 which, while is almost unlistenable out of the box, they are completely transformed if they are modded (reducing upper mids energy and the mid bass bleeding).
The sound is more impactful, more textured, the vocals are more alluring, the soundstage more captivating.

So, my question is: is there anything that deserves attention from these brands, compared to the qualities of a high-performance dynamic driver?

You want pure DD sound, not hybrid sound?
Because i'm currently listening to the ISN H60 and TSMR X and lemme tell ya, it's endgame material for me (Me - a colledge student who's mindful about his money and consider 400$ his upper limit of spending fee).
I consider the H60 and TSMR X to have top tier bass texture for me.
It has better texture than some candidate like the ISN Neo 5, Dunu Davinci, ZiiGaat Doscinco, Penon Serial and Penon Quattro to me.
Only the Simgot EA1000 comes close to those - regarding the bass texture btw. The EA1000 use a really high quality driver membrane, it feels really fast and technical. Just a bit quicker and it's almost planar level lol.
As for the H60 and TSMR X, these 2 bass texture is a wee bit slower than the EA1000's, but way more organic, compacted, tight. Imagine musical vs technical. Since i value the "lingering" sense that good DD gives me (which Planar and BA bass cannot), the bass on the H60 and X is better in that aspects.

I'd be interested to know how the TSMR-X bass compares to the ISN EST50 overall. Particularly the subbass.
