A teaser.....?

Looking great. Shall we start guessing the driver config?

I think either:
10BA + 4EST
or going full quadbrid...
1DD + 1BC + 6BA + 4EST (or 2EST if they can't tetris in 4).

2 8mm DD x 6BA x 2EST

Edit:
Or 4ESTs.

I personally like the 10th Anniversary better, but that is just me.
Which one, TANSIO MIRAI X 10TH ANNIVERSARY or PENON AUDIO 10TH ANNIVERSARY?

Both are excellent in their respective price brackets. The TSMR X has wonderful bass and very good treble. The EST treble on the Penon 10th has a little more to it and the mids on the Penon 10th are a step up compared to the the TSMR 10th. If you are into special bass the TSMR 10th, but for my ears the Penon 10th has some extra special sauce/musicality. Both are wonderful IEMs. Cable and tip selection will season the sound even more.

I’d be interested in some BC but we’ll see how Fan 3 shapes up. No reason not to expect 4 ESTs since they’ve deployed them to such good effect in Impact and Voltage. And me being me, I’d want at least a DD or two in the low end.

What are you looking for? I haven’t heard the Tansio myself but people seem to love its bass. Many have also said good things about the mids of the 10th AE, which imo is tuned very well but just a bit too grainy. It gives you a taste of the Penon magic midrange sauce, but isn’t the best mids that Penon have to offer, coming from the likes of Volt (and now Voltage and Impact).

… Also, nobody asked but just saying that the GS849 and GD849 cables that I’ve been playing with lately (initial impressions) are now $60 each on the Penon store during the AE getaway sale and you can use your AE coupons to knock the price down further. The excellent OCC849 is even less at $55.44 if it gets served up in your SuperDeals section.

I just ordered the GD849

4EST is much better than 2 but I was just thinking about space in the shell and that we also don't really know how big this full range BC is.

Either way, another interesting future release to track. I am more than satisfied with the Voltage so I will be a happy spectator for this one...probably.

True. That said, I was pretty struck by how they managed to pack all the drivers so economically into the Voltage and keep its shell so small. The Impact looked almost like a waste of space in comparison.

I too am more than happy with the Voltage and will also be watching, but I fear I may be weak.

Also, I will be looking out for that mythical Pyramid+X…

The Voltage was impressive for its size and what they packed in there which sounded so good. Nice engineering. I just want a voltage with just a bit more satisfying bass/sub bass, and in any color shell besides red basically. Don't change the other tuning though, it was excellent.
