I bought these HTF-600 headphones and I will be testing them next monday. At the moment Im using Philips SBC HP 890 headphones which are also quite cheap but the audio quality is ok for me atleast.

It will be exciting to compare Panasonics and Philips :)

Okay..Sorry if this has been covered..i made it to page 40..I will read the rest..Just to let you know I'm not an audiophile..I use a sansa fuze v2 with a FiiO amp E6 on blue..sometimes red.

Okay my normal HPs are original px-100s and metro fi 220s when i want privacy or am out in crowds

Okay..I discovered a pair of Panasonic RP-HT560s that I received as a gift a year or more ago..I put them in a drawer and forgot about them because..well, they're Panasonic and I didn't really want to wear cans..

So I put them on..burned them in for a few days and they sound really good..the only problem I have is at high volumes the seem to distort..they get..I don't know if muddy is the right word because it's across the entire spectrum..My Px-100s can handle..same with the metro fis... everything I throw at it..but I wanted a better presentation a can will give..Yes I listen at VERY HIGH..Yes, for the sake of this post let's assume I'm trying to ruin my hearing as fast as I can.

My question--Can anyone verify if the HT560s are the same as the 600s?..AND did I just waste $40 ordering a pair of JVCs HARX700s?

Sometimes I don't mind sacrificing sound quality for loudness, but nobody likes distortion

I hope this makes sense..be kind..I'm new to the board as a poster but I've lurked here for a long time and have used this as my go to place for info on new HPs to buy

I have the HT560s. They're the same, the HTF600s were these headphones before getting rebranded.

Same specs, same driver, same housing, same everything. Mine don't seem to distort at high volumes.. but I don't want to kill my hearing so quickly

Every day I'm more impressed with these. I've never had so much fun listening to my music... DT's "this dying soul" intro (portnoy's drumming is out of this world) never sounded so visceral! I could keep going on with examples.. Do these three mods I described three pages ago, they stop being basshead cans, to become something special. Beautiful!

They may not be a technical monster even modded, but music just flows out of them... you forget you're listening to headphones with these.

Both of them are Panasonic headphones that look the same physically, have the same "quick two-step" system, have 56 ohm impedance,  100 db/mW, 50mm drivers, supposed 10-27khz range, with gold plugs, Neodymium magnets, and 9.8m cables.

If they're not the same headphone, it'd be a surprise to me.

Okay..I will try those mods..So in your opinion I should just return(once they arrive) the JVCs to Amazon since I was looking to UPGRADE?

I figured if these cheap Panasonics sound this good then the JVCs will sound amazing..Silly me..lol..

These do really sound good(the Pan 560s).

Okay..2 out of 2 agree  :)  I guess I jumped the gun on ordering the JVCs thinking they would be even better..I'm in love with the BASS on these and would be hard for me to switch to something that didn't come somewhat close..

In my defense I ordered the JVCs on this boards recommendation so i hold everyone here responsible..

Well, didn't you read the invisible disclaimer under every comment here? It says "buy at your own discretion"

He's not. His tone is serious. You'd better defect to another world or start finding a good lawyer soon.

No one that comes to this website saves money.

Yeah, the slogan's "Sorry about your wallet." for a reason.

Just when I thought I'd be satisfied, I hear that siren call again, and it says "Buy more Stax!" As if I wasn't lucky enough getting my current setup for the price I did...

You absolutely did not waste $40 on the JVC Rx700s. Those are some amazing phones .Very crisp and balanced headphone. They are mammoth in size though. I prefer them more than the Panasonics for most genres with the exception of electronic/bass type music. Do not return those JVCs..With 20hrs burn in..prepare to be amazed.
