Ya, I have my beyer DT 1990 for flatness, someday electrostats, but sometimes I just want my skull to vibrate! I don't feel the HE-6 is too dark or boomy, except when I flip the SUPER DOOM switch on the iFi Pro

Actually it's a knob...

Oh man. That 40 Hz SUPER DOOM would be nice to have. I need to investigate that piece. I've been a bit of a "neutrality snob" for the past few years. Lately, I've been wanting an old classic Sansui or Kenwood with Cerwin Vega speakers experience. Some 80's/90's vintage stuff that was so bad, it's good kinda thing...

Vintage (pre-80s) Sansuis are marvelous, but not neutral, quite warm actually.
If you need some advice on getting a set-up,lemme know

LOL, I'm good! I grew up with Sansui/Kenwood/and even JVC with 5 band eq. I'd get tired of it pretty quick: I'm NOT one of those guys who thinks vintage gear is better than contemporary stuff. The oldest kit I have right now is a Sunfire Theater Grand 5 that I use as a stereo pre-amp into 1500-watt Crown amplifier. I'm not getting rid of the Sunfire though, but I plan on getting a Vidar sometime next year and then put the Crown back into service as a bass amp with an Eden pre-amp.

Oh, that is to die for! But I need, and I mean NEED, pics of the Sansui's. No brand is dearer to my heart!!!

My Sansuis are nothing special to look at...
The 5000a is bland looking as hell, but it is oh so warm sounding...bass in abundance.
My 881 is a true beater survivor, great mids on that one,but the wood case is messed up and missing a couple caps on the face.

My next audio target is a 100+ wpc Sansui, maybe the 9090.

I take it back! I'm a few months from possibly having money to sink into interesting rigs, and you are definitely someone that has interesting rigs! That 5000a and Rogue amazes me. What's the source for that? How do you like the Rogue?

Breathtaking stuff!!~!~

Thank you...As a guy into a rich mans hobby who operates on a less-than-rich mans-budget,I am all about "bang for the buck".

The Rogue is splendid! A Sony HAP S1 and Cambridge Audio Azur BluRay feed it and then out to GoldenEar T2s...which I absolutely adore.
So the NAD decodes the 7.1 and feeds the center and surrounds. The Sansui feeds the L/R for films and gaming(BASSSSSS!) and then I switch it over to The Rogue for 2 channel music.
