Little off-topic, but I've been in the market for a new stand for my Z1R, as the Woo Audio Compact stand was not a good fit. The new-model Just Mobile Avant is a good match for the can, functionally and aesthetically...

Never liked stands as they create continuous pressure points either on the headband or the ear cups (depends on the stand's design). The unnecessary pressure minimizes the life span of the foam used in headband or ear cups.

Roundish ones work nicely.

Z1R bass is amazing but i think its missing a little bit  musicality ,,

Congrats!
Any brightness issues?

Brightness? These aren't the TH-900s

The treble is actually on the laid back side of things.

I'm sitting back with my Z1Rs and the Sony/Kimber upgrade cable and the new Benchmark DAC3 HGC (that I'm currently reviewing) and I'm loving what I'm hearing! Bowie's "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust" has never sounded better!

Radiohead - Burn the Witch

Z1R  - Warm, good drum emphasis and dynamics, but a touch less air. Fairly wide sounding. Vocals realistic, but a touch too thick. Gets a tiny bit congested when it all kicks off, but very atmospheric sounding. 7.5/10

HD800S - Wider, airier than above. Symbols more emphasised. Loses some of the atmosphere and drama. Vocals still have a touch of thickness to them but better than above. Less dynamic overall than Z1R, but the sense of space does help with a different sense of occasion. Doesn't congest up when it kicks off. 8.5/10

T1.1 - A more realistic sense of intricacy than above. Symbols less emphasised or sharp. Vocals less forward, making a better overall tonal balance again. Sounds wider than HD800. Vocals still a touch thick, but blend in better to the rest of the instruments than either of the above. 9.5/10

HD800 - Similar to the HD800, but a little bit more treble emphasised. Just a touch sharper sounding, which gives separation a hair more clarity, and actually helps to keep vocals better balanced with the rest instead of being more emphasised. Perhaps a better sense of air and width. 9/10

Good work there. I might be wrong but Z1R might be quite sensitive to dynamic range  compressed track and clearly shows in your rating. A moon shaped pool(CD) is really bad, Burn the Witch(CD ver.) recorded a DR3(dynamic range rating of 3 out of 20) in dr-loudness database. i've listened it via Tidal hifi and it shows. Other tracks you tested have DR around DR10-14, and Z1R nailed it.

Its fine by me negligible pressure no worse that being on my ears.

The pads will degrade as they are now compressed 24/365 always. And we learned that new pads are like 600 usd if needed.

8420 yen each which equates to approx ~USD$149 per pair.
